I wouldn't recommend spending $500 on a 60hz 40'' LCD in this day and age. Maybe if it was on sale for $300. You could get a Samsung 46'' LED (so much nicer) for like $600 now or 55' for like 800-900.

I have a 46'' Sony Bravia 240hz LCD and I love it though, looks ballin' compared to Samsung etc (everything else but the Sharp Aqueous)

Unless you need to impress people with name-brand, this is a great tv.

But is it worth the price? I've been gettting really good reviews about it but i dont really want to spend 500 dollars on something that i can get cheaper with cheap products and same quality. Although, the reason why i'm considering it is because of the brand and that it would last for long..If it is however better in quality than the no name brands i would buy it..

I dont really care about brand, but i do care about quality. I've been getting relly bad review of dynex, insignia westighouse quality wise. But It is still an option for me...

i dont really have the budget to spend more than 500 dollars since one the main reasons why im buying a tv is for gaming purposes
