I want to enter this $10,000 Contest on BB.com.

I'm currently 5'4 1/2 '' tall , 120-125 lbs.

I did the handheld BF% thingy, said 16.5% (who knows how accurate that is)

Very little BF on my upper abs, a bit more on the lower and obliques.
Very Little BF on biceps and shoulder, more on the triceps
Ass and thighs = MOST OF MY BF IS HERE lol, I'm Puerto Rican, so that make sense (this is why I doubt that handheld BF thingy is accurate)

So my question..... should I start to cut? From looks and stats, would it be wise for me to cut, or should I bulk?

Thing is, truly bulking is a scary thought to me. Well, I should say the idea of packing on more fat than I already have isn't appealing (I'm not being crazy or fanatical when I say this cause I know I'm not ''fat'', just the idea, even though I'd pack more muscle, is not very attractive). But when I cut I don't want to look too small where it doesn't look very attractive either.... so again I ask.....

Am I at a good place to cut, or should I bulk??

Honest reply's are welcomed!!!

Your pics are all of your upper body, full body shots are most helpful since women carry so much fat often in their lower half.

From what I can see, bulking is really the only place for you to go. You are already pretty lean on top, cutting is never even, especially your first go 'round. You will lose even more on top before the bottom catches up.

You don't have to bulk and gain a ton of fat. Go look at the first time bulkers thread in general chat. Look at the pics of some of the bulkers, its really not that scary.

You won't be able to pull off enough of a "transformation" for the contest. You aren't overly fat with a bunch of muscle to reveal underneath yet you have some lean mass so you aren't a totally skinny fat person either. Which is good:), but for the contest its more about a BIG change. Its good for goal-setting and making commitments though.

Gracias! I will definitely take bulking seriously (and not as timidly) after this summer. But for the meantime, since summer is comin' 'round, I think I'll put bulking on pause.
