I need a workout routine or ideas of one for someone who is going to be fighting alot, im not talking MMA but actual for your life kind of thing. What routine would you do to be strong enough last long enough and really pound them. Any tips if not any routine ideas?

If your wondering why, I will be working as a Prison guard (corrections officer) and i will be restraining prisoners, protecting myself and breaking up fights, and you never know when a prisoner will attack.

5x5? 4x8? 3x10? 3x12? 4x12,10,8,6? 6x4?

I would consider looking into Krav Maga, instead of being used for competition and whatnot, it was developed for combat and survival in a hostile situation.

stick to low reps (3-5) with high weight.
you should probably learn boxing, wrestling, or jeet kune do in addition to lifting
