View Full Version : Cant squat more than 1/3 way down because of hip

Hurt my hip in a car accident 2 years ago. Never really delt with it. Cant squat more than 1/3 way down without pain. Up until 1/3 it is fine. Please reccomend me exersizes to do to fix it.

honestly, i would say put the heavy squats on hold, and stretch like crazy.Stretching provides functional strength, and from there you can build little by little. depending on the severity of your injury it may be a while before you begin to squat all the way down again. Google complete let stretching routines, or start to take yoga and stretch the heck out of it. i too had a hip problem once and stretching was the only remedy.

Yeah, def no heavy squats. Stretching is not the answer though. Ive tried it and it is not working. I need an effective strenghtening routine.
