I'm still unsure on how to perform the powerclean.I know I start in a deep deep squat position{with my ass down and back straight}and with a overhand grip and shoulder width length grip. Then I bring the weight up explosively, untill I reach the clean part. Then what??
Also you said that plyometrics, olympic lifting helped with your speed.Did you say something else helped with your speed too?

It has a pretty good break down of the different parts of a power clean.

Yea me to.Powercleans I finally got decent at this year,I also would have to agree they do have alot to do with athletic talent you could say.Strongest one at our school right now is I think 16 I don't know his max, but he does 225 for 3 sets of 5.

Thats pretty good gibbs, hehe i could only do 205 for max when i was a sr. But i had a mad squat. I have the 2nd highest squat at my school which was 515 @bodyweight 185. But anyways a good buddy of mine that went on a full ride and starts on the CU buffs oline was repping w/275 on cleans as a Sr. This guy was huge and real strong, but damn was he a wus....a couple of us got jumped once and he's the only guy that got the **** kicked out of him...hehehehe, i still tease him bout that today
