Hi guys,

First post, not sure about the section nor the title lol, but bare with me...

My question is about progress and what progress is considered normal, lower or above normal...

I started working out 9 months ago and for 9 months have done nothing but strength training. I don't bench press, however, i do dead lifts, squats and overhead presses.

Started dumbbell pressing 8kg (had never worked out before in my life), 9 months later im pressing 32kg.

Only started doing squats, deadlifts and overhead press in the last 2 months ( i know i know, but i was noob to begin with)

Barbell curl 14.5kg each side (29kg).

Every set is 8-10 reps, have never done anything more in 9 months...

Dont take supplements, juice, nothing except rice, pasta, meat and veg.

Also do Hiit training once a week, 30 seconds on 30 seconds off, for 20 to 25 minutes and the stepper for 40 minutes, same thing.

Anyway i just want to know, is that normal strength gain and am i safe to say that in another 9 months i will see my results roughly double? Im still noob so take it easy lol

Thanks in advance

Seems good to me mate, a lot of what you see on the forums is people who are on the sauce or ph and denying it but making phenomenal results and that makes it seem like everyone who isn't deadlifting 400lbs 6 months in is weak or something.

The main thing is consistency and as long as you are improving week in week out there's no real need to mix things up. Though change can sometimes be good to shock the body a bit, e.g. working 3-5 rep range instead of 8-10 but it's all personal preference.
