Hey everyone! I am new on here so please bear with me haha..

I have always been a pretty slim dude throughout my life. There was one time when I gained maybe 5lbs of muscle and that was in weight training my junior year HS. I dont think I ever broke 140lbs until after HS. Im currently 22 years old now trying to make a living on my own. Since high school I never really ate all that good and didnt ever workout. Except maybe once in a while id do some push ups and crunches ect. Well anyways, since the new year I have decided to change my life for the better and get in shape! I now got a gym membership and have already been eating so much better.(no fast food anymore, no fatty foods) Im still only eating at my base caloric rate tho until I start my workout plan that I come up with. Then I will increase my calories accordingly in order to hopefully start seeing gains!
I just recently picked up a healthometer at walmart too. It tells your weight, BF, and water comp.

Right now I am 5' 10.5", 151.6lbs, 12.6% BF, and 64.4% water (if that matters lol)

I am about to start a routine but I would like to know from some of you what you might think will work best for me. I was thinking just doing the regular back/biceps, chest/tris, legs/shoulders, abs/weakest bodypart. Do these on a weekly split so like back/bis on monday, chest/tris on wednesday, legs/shoulders on friday, abs/ect on sunday then back to biceps/back on tuesday. So basically a day off in between every workout. Is this a good idea? Also, a friend of mine told me to stay away from cardio if I can help it. Is this true? I am a very hard gainer so i wouldnt really think cardio would do me much help. When I get in the gym what kind of reps/sets should I be doing since I am pretty skinny but want the most possible gain. Heavy weights? High reps? To failuure? Work out everyday? More rest between? I would like to hear from anyone that has had luck seeing results. Any help is much appreciated tho!

Just so everyone knows, My SN is Iosephus which is latin for Joseph. Creative I know lol :P But you can call me Joe. Im glad to join this insanely large network and hope to stick with it! Still at zero friends tho :/ On a side note, on top of a workout regime suggestion, feel free to let me know some tips on types of (protein powder, foods(meals), snacks, supplements) that would benefit me to see results! My ultimate GOAL is to reach 175lbs with around 6-10%BF. I know thats quite a stretch though so my goal for now is I want to gain a solid 5-6lbs over the next 3 months! I will also be updating my account very soon with some stats and a few current picture!!!

Thank You,
Joe

Well this forum area is just for the HRT trainees. However, if you are trying to gain weight (which I am doing the same thing), why don't you try this program itself! I had my first day today and it felt amazing and think I will get great gains from it.
