Hi guys, Not much of a forums guy but i'll give this a go. So the situation is i've been away living in liverpool for the last six months and then returned home to my local bodybuilding gym at christmas to begin training again. There are a number of people this year from my gym prepping for the nabba contest in april and when i came home people noticed some good gains. Since ive just turned 21 this would be my last chance to make it in with the nabba juniors, so long story short ive been convinced to have a go at getting myself ready and entering this contest.

Currently we are about 16 weeks out from the contest to date and im completely natural. The advice ive been given so far is basically to go on a heavy bulk for the next 4 weeks with a low dosage cycle to pack on as much muscle as possible before beginning to cut again. As ive had no previous experience with steroids of any kind im just a little sceptical i guess, i in no way judge people who take steroids and im not against them in any way, i just wonder how far i can go while staying all natural and how much more i have to give through good diet and eating.

There are no natural contests in my area so thats ruled out. If i want to have a go at competing this year, this is pretty much my best option.

I would be entering the northern ireland area nabba contest and have looked at the standard of u21s from last year and feel as though it could possibly be in reach but since i have never competed or done anything like this before i really dont know.

Looking for some advice or guidance from someone who has been in the same situation.

not sure if i'll get in trouble for this.. but first of all this cannot be discussed on here.. second of all it would be a terrible decision to hit a 4 week cycle and then begin an immediate cut.. you'd have to completely finish 4 wks of PCT before you cut.. if you drop your cals during a PCT while your body is suffering from a shutdown you will pretty much guarantee yourself that u will lose all gains and therefore you would have put your body at risk for nothing..

if you want more details you'll need to go to another site.. but in short the plan you have is a bad one.. you're 16 weeks out.. you have to start leaning out now

so either stay natural and begin cutting.. or put it off a year.. try for another natural 5-10 lbs.. (or more if u ride the bike) and then compete

i'm in the same boat.. an NPC even is this June.. though i've been told i'm good enough for this particular NPC (the novice group is never amazing) i'm still putting it off till 2013

Thanks Dude, not really looking so much for the drugs advice side of things. As i haven't outlined the full details of the advice ive been given. Tried to be as vague as possible because i wasn't really sure of the rules.

Im sitting at about 10% bodyfat at the minute (check the pictures on my profile) so i dont think cutting would be the problem. Another 5-10lbs of lean mass would see me through i think. I know its not really the way to go about contest prep but like i said, i've been thrown in the deep end and its my last chance to get into the juniors category.

Start dieting now. Dont worry about putting on anymore size till the show. Drugs are not needed to place well, even in regional untested shows.

Check my competition history in tested AND untested contests....bring a great package and you will do well in either.

what these guys said... you don't need gear to place well. the wont in shows such as the one you will be entering is less focus on conditioning and more on size. that leaves the door open for someone to get PEELED and take the competition from the mass focused
