I had taken about 11 days off since the holidays and went back into the gym on Tuesday to do chest and felt pretty strong even with the layoff. The last day i had gone in I did a full body workout and hit chest and deadlift. At that time I set a new PR of 375 for DL. I was pumped...
Well last night it was DL day... and I banged out 400!!!! I was so pumped. I even got the broken blister on my hand to prove it! I switched my grip around and realized right now I don't need straps. Felt awesome. Rest of my work out was good too. Banged out some Pendlays, some pull downs and then hit some tri work. Felt strong as hell. Of course shoulda just thrown 4 plates on and hit 405... next time... next time!
