The pictures were taken when i was 18 weeks out of my second comp (last week). I weighed roughly 185 and my target weight is to be between 160-165. I know my posing sucks but i was just trying to get through them fast bc i was starving. How do i look for 18 weeks out?

Abs at 18 weeks out is a good starting point for sure. Are you flexing your legs at all in the pictures?

Looking good for being 18 weeks out, definitely lean man, But over the next coming weeks I would really emphsize your back and legs. Hit them hard and intense, also really focus on upper chest movements as well. You definitely have a great start to your prep though..goodluck!!

redcat- i honestly cant remember if i was, most likely though.
bodybuilder03- I appreciate the comments. I am trying to hit legs as hard as i can, i really want to see them pop come show day. I actually spent a long ass time in the gym yesterday hitting legs so i know its gonna take a lot of work.
Calpoly- Thanks but i am all natural and dont use any kind of drugs.

Overall, looking good brother.
Good Delts, Good arms, Wide Back
In all honesty, which I am sure you are looking for.. you could use a bit more fullness in your chest and legs.
But overall, you look great bro.. Good luck at your comp, if you hit your diet right you should smash it!

Hey man, looking absolutely great for 18 weeks out. All I could say is I don't think you're doing your physique justice with your posing, you could probably show it off a bit better. Good luck!

Word of advice: Hands on hip MM put your palms up so you can flex your bis and chest better.

hey man, great start for 18 weeks out. focus a bit more on quad sweep and a little more lower back thickness..your posing is good but i'd maybe keep the leg further in on the side chest pose to emphasize your hamstring, and as mentioned early stay big (by keeping up your chest and squeezing). also on your ab & thigh pose maybe keep the leg (that isn't extended out-the one on the side) lean it towards to the outside to show more quad sweep. good luck, you're looking good!!

Thanks for the input guys. I was talking with a former pro the other day who has over 30 years in the sport( Greg Long) as he was helping me with posing. We started talking about my diet and he goes on to tell me that if i want to get that hard look then the only carb sources i should have are yams/sweet potatoes, oatmeal and brown rice. Also that i should cut out dairy and the peanut butter that i have been having. I should not eat past 9pm and if i cant do it then i should eat salad or veggies. In addition, i should only have 180g of carbs and a little over 200g protein. He says that i have a "coating" due to the greek yogurt and peanut butter that i eat. So far on my diet i have lost roughly 9 lbs in about 4 weeks. He tells me that it is probably mostly lean mass because my carb sources suck and i am getting too much fat in my diet( 40-50g). I am just curious if anyone has any input? Is this just the old school way of thinking? I do understand what works for someone else will not necesssarily work for me.
