I don't like it. its cheap, underhanded, and its technically against the rules.
your commish should step in and reverse some or all of it or he's worthless and your league isn't even remotely serious

That seems like pretty common tactics in the leagues I've been in. Get all of the best players on your bench and let them sit there, even if you don't really plan to use them. Never seen it that bad where there is literally no starting players available though, lol. Quite cheeky of you mate.

thats not how I read it. sure you'd want to stock pile "all of the best players" - thats the name of the game. I would not put Skelton and Locker in that category. the motives are obvious and crooked.
guess its all about how you're used to playin it. just my take. dude's not in my league, so doesn't really matter.

Are you not able to pick players up off of waivers? Are you in a 16 man league? How are there no QBs left?

Yes cheeky, but hey, that's the game, just like getting the handcuffs to other people's RB1s, I've done it. This is chess, not checkers.

thats why you have depth and work the ww all year its his fault and no one elses. if you claimed these guys on waivors then there is no way he couldnt have gotten one before your 2nd run of ww. its his fault

ya, I am personally okay with it if you don't have any position restrictions...I already had Cam and Ben but when Tebow started doing well I grabbed him since two other potential playoff teams were weak at qb

i read your earlier post and would like to know how this is "technically against the rules"
just would like to hear your reasoning.
some leagues u can only roster a certain amount of players at a position. clearly this isnt one of those. to me its no different then picking up barber if forte went down. are you saying that the forte owner should get barber by default?
You're putting him out of his misery. His QB is Kolb for chrissakes. Repped for keeping it real.

The following is from YAHOO Rules and Instruction
Fair Play & Sportsmanship
Even though fantasy games are meant to be a competitive experience for all involved, it's important to us that our users not lose sight of the rules of fair play and good sportsmanship.
To this end, each Public League fantasy team owner (Custom Leagues are controlled solely by the League Commissioner) agrees that, by joining the game, they will abide by the following regulations:
All league-related transactions will be executed with the intent of improving the owner's team and/or its standing within the league.
No owner may drop or "dump" players from their team for any reason other than improving their own team and/or its standing within the league.
No owner will engage in any action that may be deemed to be collusive (two or more owners agreeing to make moves that benefit one team, but not the other).
No owner will make any roster moves (including waiver claims, trade proposals, etc.) whose sole purpose is to hamper the play of other owners.
No owner will take any action whose purpose is to, in any way, interfere with fair play in a league.
IMO, these regulations have been violated (based on the assumption that other sites have similar rule structures). I disagree that its the same as the scenario you proposed. of course one should try and seek a now starting RB after some RB1 goes down to IMPROVE your RB situation be it based on an upcoming match-up, strengthening your position @ RB, etc. again, this is not the case IMO
Look, I'm not trying to assume any kind of high & mighty stance of morality or anything of the sort. trust me, I've been around the misc long enough not to be surprised that the misc says "good job" to such a move, win at all cost, to hell with the rules you beta-phaggot, etc. lol. dude asked the question and he got my opinion. I'm not his opponent nor is he in my league...as I said before, its all good in da hood. play your leagues the way youre used to playin your leagues. would like to see that match-up posted. if all he has is MJD, why was such a desperate move necessary? just curious.
reps for your respectful challenge and inquiry tho.

I did the same thing for my league, but I didnt even put in a Waiver order no one did, He has big ben that played last THURSDAY. So i picked up the 3 QBs that were starting in our league that was left in free agency

interesting, I've seen people condone these kind of moves before but never saw Yahoo had those rules...I see where bonecrusher is coming from now as that's pretty specific
OP, if you're playing bonecrusher this week I'd drop a QB before he smashes you

i never realized they had those rules either. its the equivelent of saying
"no team is allowed to run the clock out when playiing an nfl game. every play must be meant to score a touchdown"
weird ass rule but it is there

there is no debate on his intentions here. the OP's motives were clearly spelled out in his original post. it is upon this information that the rest of the thread has developed...or at least my part of it anyway.
regardless, it all comes down to what your interpretation is of a straight-up, serious season of FF. mine is different than most of the rest of you. no problem. I wish all of my misc bros success if you're still in it...regardless of how your leagues play.

in your first post, you clearly said the commish shoulda stepped in and done something about it. Yes, WE know OP's true intentions, but if he would have never said them, you could never accuse someone of that.
That's all I was trying to say.

We play $3 and $5 adds in my leagues, would solve such issues as this, but agree if you're not aware you need players and someone else is...tough $hit.
