Probably more excitement than they've had in a long time there.

Well I bet their insurance on the show was already super high and this will just make it go through the roof.... maybe the end of the series.

It has been on for a long time. I still enjoy it though.

Oh I know that, my son and I used to watch it together all the time. I haven't watched an episode though since he went off to college.
I do think they're going to have trouble getting insured now however... one screw up like that is about all it would take I'd think.

It is a decent show, but a lot of the myths they test are really stupid.....ones that anybody with a modicum of common sense could predict what happens without any need for a test.

I had a neighbor in my condos I used to live in, miss fire his desert eagle while cleaning it. Went through the wall, through the back and out the front of the fridge, though an interior wall, and exited out the other exterior wall. That fk'r still owes me a bottle of ketchup.

Wow, that is scary. I will never understand how anyone could have such a thing happen when cleaning a gun.

It doesn't. The idiot was playing and fired his gun.

Wrong. He was cleaning it. Just glad he didn't shoot himself in the face. This is what happens when people who smoke a lot of pot, keep loaded weapons in the house, then decide to clean loaded guns while stoned.

Happens a lot unfortunately and of course nobody will fess up ever. It's easy to rack the slide and chamber a rd, drop the magazine out and forget you have a rd in there.

That's why you treat all guns as loaded even when you know they aren't loaded. ;)

I've been a firearms instructor for a long time. The "went off while cleaning" line is and always has been crap. It's just a lame attempt to excuse recklessness. The first thing you do when handling a firearm is make sure it is not loaded. Failure to do this is reckless. End of discussion.

Sorry dude, but this is bravo sierra. If your smoking weed and handling a firearm, you're not "cleaning your gun." You screwing around like an idiot. Your example is a case of recklessness.

I agree with this. First thing you do is look in the chamber and down the breech side of the barrel to see if there is round and if has a clip you take it out.

I agree. I am anal retentive about checking a gun. I don't care who you are, if you check a weapon and then hand it to me, I'm going to recheck it. I have a life long habit of checking a weapon every single time I pick it up. I don't care if I checked it 5 minutes ago and I'm the only person in the house. If I pick it up for a second time, it gets checked a second time. It might seem senseless to some but the idea is to make it an ingrained habit so that I never forget to check.

It's the way it has to be. I've said some variation of the same thing more times than I can count. When you have possession of a firearm, you are responsible for it. That means you make sure it is safe at all times.
