Here are my stats for the end of week one.
Beginning Weight =182
Ending Weight =186
Weight difference =+4lbs
Protein =255 not quite to 250.
Carbs =210 almost there
Appetite = 8 but that is waning.

My weight is up so I am stoked about that. Working on getting my carbs and protein in check. It is getting harder to fit 6 meals in during the day but I am being super creative. Will have pics up of super lasagna, low on carbs, heavy on protein and taste with veggies mixed in. I will also have hopefully two vids up.
Got bored today and wanted to cook something awesome. Meet my super protein lasagna. I think it ranges at 35-40 grams of protein per slice. Low on carbs since I use about only half a box of shells and no ricotta which keeps it on the low fat scale. Hope you guys like it..

Feeling great and loving the HRT program. Would like some options on tricep exercises though. DB overhead ext cuts the blood off to my head, i assume my delts are digging into my neck and blood flow is stopped. Not a good thing when you nearly pass out. lol Can i use Close grip bench and press downs? Or what exercises do you suggest?

My weight is going up and making my motivation go through the roof!!! My will power to eat more is increasing and i drink nothing but water and protein shakes so everything is going great!!

Hope everyone is prepared for WEEK 2!!!

I've been looking forward to Monday all weekend, I'm ready to see what kind of weight I'll be putting up this week. I love the fact that this program is a constant challenge, you have to want to put the work in and improve yourself. The thing about HRT though is for me atleast... once I started, I got hooked. Any movements that allow the wrists to move more independently will ease some tension on the shoulder joints. Lots of dumbbell work.

RAGE, seeing as we all are doing a hard routine, should Animal Pak be taken twice a day or is once enough? I saw on the lable that 2 can be taken.

1 pak is good for now, but as you get closer to your contest, maybe around 8 weeks out, I'd up it to two per day. You know how the body gets very taxed on the last leg of the journey and the immune system can really take a hit.

Hopefully everything is in order this week I've upped my carbs/protein from last week I haven't really kept track of fats since I'm on a bulk however I'm still using some common sense I'm trying to get swole not obese.

Also Rage or G if one of you gets a chance to look over my training logs can you let me know if I should switch any out or keep it the same? I'm trying to stick to the program to a T with a few minor changes due to equipment or lack of at my gym.

Nice job brother. I help guys with hypoglycemic issues constantly. Two biggest causes of low carb dieters hitting hypoglycemia;

1. Stims
2. GI out of whack on the carb sources.

Next time you have an issue and you feel the drop in sugar levels coming on, grab some peanut butter instead of cocoa pebbles.

I heard you mention no fats except that which is found in your top. Talk to Brandon about your EFA's if you haven't already.

Looking good bro.

With these kinds of gains, you better get your **** together with these weekly vids. Hate to see all this good progress go to waste in this contest. Mandatory to post a weekly video log...just even something a minute or two long just saying how the weeks training went. Also, it's good for me to see some training vids so that I can check out your form and help you along.

I emailed him about the fat and he told me they will be added in soon. He meant it to be this way for a short time. I'll be sure to grab peanut butter next time. So according to what I show, your up 2 lbs in 2 weeks. Not bad. But no gain this week. One of the most important things in this is consistency in your diet. I made an adjustment last week, but it looks like you didn't make it. Let's do the same adjustment this week. I'll copy and paste brother;

Set protein at 220 grams per day and carbs at 250 grams per day.

We have to get your calories steady from day to day so that we can make some progress through this. Also, a training video would be helpful. A lot of people think they have this down only to find out they could use some adjustments to their technique. Better to get those things done now.

I also didn't see your mandatory weekly video log. Make sure you get that done brother.

Hitting hypo sucks, I know and I've been there. Wouldn't wish it on anyone (Well maybe a few). Anyways, with your fats, I'm referring more specifically to Essential Fatty Acids. A good strong Omega supp can come in handy right now for you since your diet is so strict. All low carb dieters tend to need EFA supps to round out things nutritionally. If you want to PM your diet brother, I'll take a look. Always here to help out.

I have your starting weight at 182 lbs. I see you lowered your protein down to 250 grams which is what I recommended. You still need to bring those carbs down to 200. Might suck, but we may also go lower.

With your weight, are you using the same scale? Is it accurate? No changes this week other than what I asked last week and also, I need to know what weight we are officially using as your starting weight. I haven't seen a weekly video log or any training videos on you so that I can review your technique.

No changes this week.

Got a Vid up Rage, It was basically me rambling for 13 minutes but there'll be more to come.

On that note though, my gains so far are sick, it's made me a believer to the core. If I can average 10+ a month for the next 3 months and be up to 220 I'd be amazed, and if I keep gaining like I am, I don't see that being an issue at all!

Rage,
The first scale I was using was definitely off. I started out week one weighing right around 180 lbs. Got a new camera, sh***y excuse, but won't happen again. Will be posting videos on Wednesday and Sunday of the week. Will follow whatever advice you have as far as cutting carbs or whatever, I aim to please.

If those military press aren't working out, switch to DB military press. Your joints might respond better to a freer motion. Thanks for the update. Try and get these in on Mondays if you can brother. Haven't seen a training video on you yet brother. Shoot me a link so I can review. So down 3 lbs. I need you to list your current carbs and protein amounts in your updates so that I can make your weekly adjustments. That is of course if I'm handling your diet. If not, no worries.

I'll give the DB military presses a shot. I'll try and get a training video up soon, as of now, I'll be handling my diet.

Here's a little video I made tonight... check it out, lulz.

Explain to me the difference in weighing my chicken or top sirloin raw and cooked...? 8oz of raw chicken isn't 8oz cooked so am I not losing some protein due to cooking? I've always heard it didn't matter which way you weigh just be consistent with that way. Exp: if I'm trying to get 40g pro from my chicken breast should that be weighed cooked not raw?

Your right. Consistency one way or the other is. There's not a lot of difference in the amount of protein in most meats from raw to cooked as long as your not way over cooking it. It's mostly a loss of oil and/or water. Hit up nutritiondata.com for the raw breakdown. On the flip side, with carbs, the longer the cook time, generally tge higher the gi becomes.

So basically an 8oz chicken breast keeps all its protein if cooked normally? I was assuming that 8oz raw chicken lost protein because after its cooked it usually ends up 2-3 oz lighter. so then a 6oz cooked chicken cant have the same protein as a raw 8oz chicken. i see what youre saying now, thanks for clearing that up. i have been weighing out 8oz raw chicken tenderloins and then cook them. glad ive been getting all my protein in!

Your execution on your exercises are obviously not on point, your "moving" all this heavy weight but your not controlling the negative, anyone can deadlift 315 for 20+ reps, but can you do it with a 3-5 second negative and not touching the floor?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^What a ****ing hater arnt I?! haha, just trying to help brah! If you take ^^^ my comment to heart and start focusing on the negative and feel the muscle working, youl start adding some muscle mass. I understand HRT is all about that :)

It just pisses me off when I see all these skinny guys lifting a ton of weight, squatting 400+, deadlifting 500+, and claiming they are strong. Kinda like me when I first started lifting, deadlifting 405 for 21 reps when I was 18 and 6'4.

If you were not around 160 pounds and since you are just slinging up heavy weight with poor control I wouldnt be making this "hater" comment.

But seeing how silly your videos are, you problaby wont give a **** about what I say. So carry on :) Nice shirt! Kill the weights! And dont consider yourself strong!

MY GOALS FOR 2012!

1 thing that keeps me motivated is setting realistic, obtainable goals. If I don't set a goal and work hard towards it, my results are less than what I want. I actually feel like i'm just spinning my wheels and waisting valuable time in the gym and in life. Waisting my valuable time is not something I like to do especially in the gym. I do not "bro-lift", I do not socialize much at all and i'm not there to play on my damn i-Phone like i see so many people doing these days.. and they wonder why they are not getting bigger and stronger.

I have set goals in the past and fell short of them, like millions of other people do. So I am human BUT what sets me apart is that if I dont reach that goal I dont go crawl in a corner, cry and and eat a fawking twinkie and hate my life or blame others! I set a new goal and work towards it. For example, I set a goal to break the RAW bench press record for my age and weight class. Currently that record is 425lbs @ 220lb Body weight in the 40-44 age group. Well, in my eyes it was obtainable. So i set out to beat it. I got to 355lbs and that seems to be the most i'll ever get. My shoulders hurt 24/7, my elbows were tender to the touch and my wrists hurt all the time to. So, its not something I think i will ever do. Heavy ass weight for low reps kills my joints, especially my shoulders. Does that mean I wont try to do it anyway? Maybe / maybe not. Depends on how my training goes, aches pains etc. But for now i set it aside, chose another goal and now i'm doing it.

My goals for 2012 are rather simple. I wanted to share my list with you guys/gals so you can kinda see into my world a little bit plus I hope it motivates some if not ALL of you to do the same. Writes your goals down! Be realistic about them then go fkn get them!

MY GOALS
even though this is a Bodybuilding web site, I will include my personal goals as well. I believe they all tie in together and as a whole make me a better person

*1. Most importantly I want to better myself as a husband to my beautiful wife. She is by far the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. Without her, my life would be a total wreck. I can't see my life being worth living without her in it.

*2. Better myself as a father to my kids and a step father to my step kids. I have 3 kids of my own and 3 step kids. Each and every one of them are amazing and I love them dearly.

*3. Better myself as a person. I tend to keep to myself and not socialize much. Most find me to be "unapproachable" and I want to change that.

*3. To stay healthy. My past is the past, the way I ate and drank back then is something I never want in y life again. At one point I was drinking over a 12 pack a night, EVERY night and 3 to 4 times that amount on weekends. I ate horribly, smoked and partied every night. Now, im not that man any more. My health is #1 now.

*4. To give 110% in the gym every time I walk in the door. My wife says i'm obbsessed with bodybuilding and the gym because its a top priority. To a point she is right, I do put the gym first and shouldnt but its one thing I love doing more than just about anything else. Its like my get away from reality. Some use drugs for that but i use the gym! lol

*5. To help as many people as I can reach their goals. By setting an example and living the lifestyle I feel will help motivate others of all ages to want to improve. I always offer my help, advice and suggestions to those that ask. Its an amazing feeling when a 17 year old kids walks up to me and asks me to train him for a bodybuilding show! And when a man my age asks me "can I look like you?" Man its a rush like nothing else.

*6. To grow my online business. I started my own online company and I want it to grow and be successful. Balancing my job, gym time, home life and my online business can be difficult at times. I just need to focus on time managemnt more.

*7. To WIN this 12 week contest! I am having the time of my life right now with this HRT routine and this 12 weeks contest. All I want is to do my best with it, change my body and win this motha fawka! 2nd place isnt an option!

*8. To win my class at the NPC Mid West Bodybuilding contest in St. Louis Missouri March 17th, 2012. Again, 2nd place is not an option! It is a national qualifier so i'm sure there will be some bad ass men there but i'm not concerned with them. I will come in and DOMINATE.. end of story.

*9. To set a personal record of 405lbs on the Bench, 500lbs on the squat and adding 2 inches to my arms. I have always wanted to hit 405lbs on the bench. I have hit 500lbs on the squat before but havent seen that number in years. (I had lower back surgery and had to start all over again with just the damn bar.)

*10. Lastly, to continue to set goals and reach them. Regardless of how big or small they may be. A goal is just that, a goal and you can't reach that goal unless you get off your ass and go for it.

Well, that's pretty much it in a nutt shell. I hope everyone that reads this will do the same, write those goals down and just fkn do it!

I'm stepping up my game and I have a totally new attitude towards this HRT contest so I hope you guys are taking it VERY seriously. For I am.

I would expect nothing less from you Matthew. Truly a great competitor, but always available to help others. With this set of goals I only wish to share one thing with you. Making adjustments along the way. You touch on this with your powerlifting goals. There is never a straight path to achieve a goal. It's a winding road with obstacles that always appear along the way. Make adjustments along the journey and steer your way to that end.

How many of you are unsure, as to what exactly a front and back "relaxed" is...??? (No shame if you don't... And if you do... Just take this as a refresher...)

Back Relaxed:

As you can see... The term "relaxed" is a bit misleading... Muscles should be tense and taut... Otherwise it's a front and back "Slouch"... Not good... So... Practice these, and display what you truly have...!!!

Awesome man, Is whey a good filler for Protein or does it need to be solid foods? Im thinking about upping my whey intake to 2x2-scoop protein shakes vs the 2scoop in morning and 1 scoop post work out. Video Log is uploaded, I have a question though. I feel like I'm saying the same **** in every log and it makes me reluctant to post it because I'm not saying anything that I havn't already said in my thread, any suggestions for what I should include in the video log?

I will get some more training vids tomorrow, I've been having to go after work and my gym is completely packed right now, it's easy finding equipment, it's harder finding somewhere to place my phone in order to record it.

Here are some pics too, I need a buddy to help me get the back pic, I just took these pics 3 hours ago.

Rage has asked me to post this in all of the check-in threads... Especially for those of you that are cutting...

This is an excerpt from a book called: "Sliced" It's written by Bill Reynolds and Negrita Jayde... If you can get ahold of it, I highly recommend it...

"By choosing bodybuilding as your lifestyle, you've made a deliberate choice to improve yourself. That makes you a doer not a watcher.

If you are truly ready to begin dieting, there's someting important that you must know. You are going to war! A psychological war. It will be against your toughest opponent - yourself.

It is a war that has littered the field of physical culture with many casualties. You could receive serious injuries to your self-esteem. Or you might have your self discipline shot apart. You may even have your enthusiasm killed.

Once you start to diet, you'll encounter all kinds of traps, traitors, and temptations along the way. Only a handful of dieters will remain unscathed. Those who make it through will be heavily rewarded. They will be called heroes.

In truth, it's simple to become sliced. You can take your physique to the exact condition you want, and we do mean "exact". However, we didn't say it would be easy. As a matter of fact, it's very tough. Many bodybuilders lose the battle-the one that determines whether you win or lose-occurs right in your mind."

As a person diets, they may notice a drop in strength... They may feel and even look like their muscles are flat and lifeless... Have you ever seen a bodybuilder, 2 nights prior to a show...??? They are generally flat, listless, weak, and lifeless... But, the day of the show, when they have their carb-up... Muscle bellies fill, life seems to spring from them... Meanwhile, truth be told, most of them are at their weakest... So... Forget about looking flat... Forget about getting weaker... Stay the course... You CAN do this...!!!

Again, another excerpt from "Sliced" by Negrita Jayde and Bill Reynolds:

"The Greatness of goals:
Before you spend the next several months dieting, you should spend a few minutes defining what you want. In most cases encountered, you'd be surprised at how many bodybuilders have vaguely defined goals. Sure, they'd like to get more cut, or get bigger, but that's not concrete enough. These desires are far too general. You need to get specific. The mind loves to focus on all kinds of little details. Just "how" sliced do you want to become? "How" much bigger do you need to be?

Start out by breaking down your ultimate goal and setting yourself some short term, easily obtainable goals. You could decide to lose four pounds in two weeks, or one inch off your waistline in 20 days. The more precise you are, the better. Taken over a period of time, these little goals have a big way of adding up to dramatic results. Goals give your workouts a sense of meaning and purpose. That mental keenness in wanting to reach your goal lightens the actual physical load of weight you're lifting. Remember this simple equation:

U (Understanding) + E (Effort) = R (Results)

The more you know what you want, and the more effort you put into it, the more clearly defined the result. Once, a week away from a big show, a bodybuilder asked IFBB Pro Negrita Jayde to take a look at him. Seeing he was way off, she asked him, "Did you want to look like this a week away from your show?" He replied in a disappointed tone, "I didn't know what I wanted, but I didn't want to look like THIS!"

Talk about a wasted effort! Even though he had dieted for weeks and trained hard, a poorly defined goal gave him a poor physical result.

This is a very powerful concept, and it must not be taken lightly. Goals are extremely important for success. They direct all of your passion!"

Here are a few update pics taken Friday the 13th and of course my weekly check in video.

Up 2lbs I eliminated the cardio at work due to my injury, so I'm guessing that's where the weight increase is coming from.

No changes this week. Keep your head up and I'm proud of you for staying after it. Thats perfect if you have a spotter nearby for pulling up on the lift, just keep staying at the 8 + 6. Perfect. Lets see a vid of one of those lifts.

Right on point. Drop daily carbs to 125 grams. Keep both cheat meals on the weekly schedule. No artificial sweeteners from this point on. Begin water management; no water 10 minutes before each meal and no water till 20 minutes after. That's it for this week. Good work.

Awesome birthday present you got lined up brother. We look forward to meeting you at the Cage. Get me a training vid and some progress pics so I can see where you are at. Hit me up for an email if you would prefer to handle things that way. If you need help with your competition prep, let me know. I can help push your weight up but I'll need to see what your looking like now and gauge whether we can push your macros more. Train with us at the ABC Saturday night at the Arnold brother and we'll get some HRT in.

I'm in the team contest, but felt like I owe you guys props. I never did HRT solo, and wanted to try a quick solo set of 8+6 after Steve and I finished our shoulders and guns day last week, just out of curiosity. At first I was skeptical about how it wouldn't be challenging without having him apply pressure on the hellcentrics, but I was wrong. I give you guys props. Doing 6 reps with slow 5 second negatives is no joke. I tried it after our workout with quick set of barbell front raises.

We still have a few more weeks as a team in the contest, but I just wanted give all of the solo teams much respect for doing this and staying the course. Hope to see you guys at the Arnold.

I wiped my eyes 4 times to make sure I saw right... dropping carbs to 100g a day.. no problem.. but only 1 cheat meal a week now?!?!?! oh nooooz! Damn, i was looking forward to my sushi tomorrow night! ****! ok, 100g divided into 6 meals = 16.6666667 So just do 17g per meal then? (102g total) My god, this diet just got HARD. lol

Leg is much better, my mother in law had some antibiotics and it cleared it up fast. I think it was a spider bite. Red, slightly swollen and sore as hell, hurt to walk. But its almost gone now :)

Someone help me with the math on this. If my oatmeal has 27g carbs at 40g(1/2 cup) How many Grams (weight) will i need to get 17g carbs? 11g?

Totally understandable man, being a college student I know what it like to have to make sacrifices due to money. Hopefully I can find a way to make to the Olympia maybe meet up with you there. It's an awesome feeling to have someone respect what I'm doing, being in college I'm breaking the social norm by watching my meals and training like a freak instead of drinking every night and skipping class to go destroy buffets. As bodybuilders we are a family and only we truly understand the things we do everyday.

Rage I uploaded some pics in my log please take a look at them, feel free to critique my posing as it is my first time attempting them, Also note I did not pump up before these pictures.

That goes for anyone who reads this, check them out and please critique my posing and physique I'm trying to get better each day so any feedback would be appreciated.

Spoilers: I'm Not Tan and I'm Not Shaved, these are just progress updates I'm a long ways away from competition prep, but I might shave for my final pics in my log Just depends on if I feel like clogging my dorm rooms sink or not. ;)

End of week 10 review

Starting Weight: 208.5lbs

Weight Last Week: 195lbs

Weight This Week: 193lbs

Week difference: -2lbs

Total Difference: -15.5lbs

*weighed early in the week and got down to 188lbs! Not sure WTF happened but it slowly went back up

Appetite: 9 – 10 Appetite is back! Wow, in full force! Lol I’m hungry within 10min of eating a meal, stomach growls and I have hunger pains all the time. When I lie on my back I often get small stomach cramps….?

Current macros:
Pro: 360g a day
Carbs: 100g a day
Fat: only fat is from 16g of peanut butter in meal 1 and from the top sirloin in meal 3.

Cardio has been post workout. Normally I do 30-35min on elliptical only and keep my heart rate at 120-122bpm. I went this morning for fasted cardio, 45min worth and kept heart rate between 124-128 I burned 582 calories and went 5.44 miles on that machine!

NO PICS TODAY
Body fat is at 4.9%, I will have it tested 1 more time later this week.

*My posing is getting better and better. Still needs work and my endurance is bad. I am tired as hell from the diet but when I pose its even harder than weight training.

The Saturday night cheat meal was amazing. 1 Rainbow Roll, 1 Centipede Roll, 1 Philadelphia Roll, 3 crab Rangoon and 3 diet cokes. Damn tasty! (I guess that explains the weight gain! Lol)

Alright, so I already made your adjustments for the week. Can't beat yourself up too much over the bumps in the road. But I do want you to watch this because Evan is addressing the mental aspects of bodybuilding.

Starting Weight: 208.5lbs

Weight Last Week: 191.5lbs

Weight This Week: 192lbs

Week difference: + .5lbs

Total Difference: -16.5lbs
*I weighed in Wednesday morning and got down to 188lbs once gain. I assume this is because I have only 1 cheat meal a week. But once it hits 188lbs it goes right back up by Friday…?
Appetite: 9.5 – 10 Appetite is super charged now. I’m hungry within a few min of eating a meal, stomach is still growling and the hunger pains are still there. Not as bad but enough.

Current macros:
Pro: 360g a day
Carbs: 75g a day
Fat: only fat is from 16g of peanut butter in meal 1, from the top sirloin in meal 3 and 5g of peanut butter in meals 2, 4 and 5. I add 5g of peanut butter to my sweet tater.. YUM!

Cardio has been post workout. 45min 6 days a week. This week Tom told me to take 3 days off from cardio. I wasn’t about to argue with that. lol

Body fat is at 5.4%, It went up just a tad, not from bad dieting but I have calipers and they are pretty accurate but not 100%. So I’m 4-5% now and my goal is 2% I’ll have it tested 1 more time next week for the final log in the HRT Solo contest.

*My posing is getting better and better. Still needs work and my endurance is better but I sweat like crazy. I am tired as hell from the diet but when I pose it’s still much harder than weight training.

The Saturday night cheat meal was amazing!! Headed out to Ra Sushi here in KC. www.rasushi.com Damn fine Sushi! A total of 4 sushi rolls for me. Tootsy Maki, Crunchy Calamari, Rainbow Roll and Caterpillar! Wow. STUFFED!

I’m very excited to see the winners!! Hopefully I will be at the Arnold this time; it’s a 50/50 chance right now. It’s an 11 hour drive for me and plus I’m dieting so it’ll be hard as hell to do this but the wife and I may just make it. Keep ya posted.

The weight difference is probably inaccurate due to my concentration camp lifestyle over the weekend. I don't have a scale at school to get a more accurate number today, but I'm sure after I drank a few glasses of water and had a meal my weight would go back up.

I explain my weekend in the video.

End of week 12..The FINAL review

Starting Weight:208.5lbs
Weight Last Week: 192lbs
Weight This Week: 189lbs
Week difference: -3lbs
Total Difference:-19.5lbs!

*I have been holding at 188-189 all week. Even after my cheat meal Saturday night.

Appetite: 9.5 – 10 Appetite is still on fire. Always hungry so I’ve increased water intake a bit to combat that. I’ve been saying in all my videos how fkn tired I am and how my strength is fine but energy and endurance were so low. Well, now I know why. I have the damn flu bug! I was running a small temp all week and its finally starting to clear up. I’ve been sleeping A LOT every day and sweating like crazy. So hopefully this clears up fast.

Current macros:
Pro: 360g a day
Carbs: 75g a day
Fat: only fat is from 16g of peanut butter in meal 1, from the top sirloin in meal 3 and 5g of peanut butter in meals 2, 4 and 5. I add 5g of peanut butter to my sweet tater.

Cardio has been post workout. The Elliptical for 45min 6 days a week. This has been VERY hard to do with me being sick.

Body fat is at 4.5% I’m VERY happy to see that number!

2 last pics of me from this Friday:
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q221/bodebldr2000/b64fffc9.jpg http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q221/bodebldr2000/a678ee43.jpg

The Saturday night cheat meal was amazing as always. Hit Katos Sushi bar for some amazing Sushi. I enjoyed 2 Caterpillar rolls, 1 Las Vegas Roll and some Crab Rangoon! Best damn food in town!
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q221/bodebldr2000/2c76465c.jpg

Now on to a more serious note: I wanted to thank everyone that followed my thread and showed me their support. It is greatly appreciated and I can’t thank you enough. First of all, I want to thank Tom “RAGE” Fuller for all his help, support and guidance through this 12 week contest. Tom has helped me reach a new level in my life and has helped me understand what real training and dieting is like. His guidance has been a true blessing and has helped me transform into an all new me. NEVER have I been in this great of shape, never have I been this ripped and lean. Thank you Tom for helping me reach my goals!

Secondly I wanted to thank all the Universal Reps DaEclipse, NaturalGuy, MrDead, G Diesel, etc for their support. I have to say the Animal family sticks together and is always there to support everyone. Not all companies have reps like these guys. They actually care about your success and will help you all they can, all you gotta do is ask.

The HRT program is by far the best routine I’ve ever used! I’ve learned so much from it but I’d have to say the biggest lesson learned was “drop your fawkin ego”. I am just like everyone else when it comes to wanting results fast. I tend to feel more weight is better but with the HRT program, it forces you to use a lighter weight and focus more on the movement, the technique and the mind / muscle connection. Ego is quickly put in check that’s for sure. If you do as the routine says, your results will be phenomenal and that is a promise.
Well, I guess that about sums it all up. I’m not much for mushy stuff so I’ll just leave it all at that.

My final after pics

Now question time :P .... did you find the high protein /low carb - low fat thing to be the right way to go about dropping substantial weight but still keeping muscle and strength?

I've always "leaned out" with high protein med fat and carb cycling. Low carb but every 18th meal was a carb load. It worked ok but I never got that ripped look like I have now. This approach worked the very best for me and I'll use it everytime from now on. I kept muscle but lost a ton of fat. I'm VERY happy with my results. I'll know how well the judges like it on the 17th ;)

Congrats BB2K on winning!!! I'm sorry i couldn't keep up with the logs and posts. We moved to another place that didn't have internet in Afghanistan. I kept up the workout and diet. It was an amazing workout and plan on continuing this workout in my routine forever.

I'm finally back in the United States and will be home by this weekend!! I'm proposing to my girlfriend at the airport when i get off the plane so wish me luck LOL...

I just want to say thanks to Universal and RAGE again for this opportunity to participate in this and I'm sorry I couldn't keep up with the updates!!
CONGRATS AGAIN BB2K and i hope to hear more and keep training for special forces during the summer!!!!

Glad that you have returned... Thank you for all you do...
