We may of not made it into the contest, but we will travel with our brothers through HELL.
This is our JOURNEY.

This was to be the start of our third week in hell, though we believe we need to do this right. Alongside the Animal Nation, during the evolution of size and strength training. The HRT REVOLUTION.

First off I want to apologize for any future breaks in our log. My partner and I are in the military and sometimes our schedules take us away from social networking. But i will always come back and fill in the breaks. oh and dont worry, we always find time to hit it up in the trenches, and if we are away from our proper prepared meals we dont go hungry we scarf down as many MREs as possible. This sometimes means taking from those smaller and weaker. Just joking, but seriously we eat!

Sorry for the break guys. Duty called. We were lucky the training base we were at had a gym closely available. We were able to stay on track throughout the past two weeks. Diet was unfortunately not kept to strict. When there was food we ate it. No being picky in the field. Due to excessive strenuous training we consumed around 4500-5000 calories a day. Tonight I am on 24 hour duty,so I will be filling all the gaps in our logs. Just bear with me.

The way we are doing the splits are odd weeks (1,3,5....) are done using sample split on bb.com
Even weeks (2,4,6...)are done using sample split on animalpak.com
cardio 3x week on recovery days. But we are in the military so daily pt is also in the mix. We are highly active throughout the day.

My diet for the first three weeks was very strict with three cheat meals a week, all on recovery days. Mainly pizza. Diet is as follows.

Meal one
6 hardboiled eggs
1/2 cup oats
Meal two
4oz chicken breast
1 cup brown rice
Meal three
3 scoops of Real gains
1 scoop of ultra whey pro
5g of universal creatine
5g of universal glutamine
Meal 4
4oz chicken breast
1 cup brown rice
Meal 5
4oz chicken breast
1 cup brown rice
Meal 6
3 scoops of Real gains
1 scoop of ultra whey pro
5g of universal creatine
5g of universal glutamine

And 4 Tablespoons of peanut butter spread out between meals. 2-3 gallons of water.

Every now and then I will replace the chicken with small steak, can of tuna, tilapia fillet, or good old ground beef. But for the most part all chicken.

Unfortunately my partner gettinswole69's diet is not so strict. My below macro measurements for him are an average based on what he ate that week.

So this afternoon was good old hrt session three. My partner and I have been loving the workouts thus far. Though there were times immediately after some workouts that we felt like we were shortchanging ourselves. Maybe we should of added more warm up sets. Maybe we should of gone heavier. Im not going to lie there was maybe one or two instances of doubt over the past 5 weeks. But the soreness always prevailed. The good kind of pain and soreness. So we drove on and gave it our all. Today some buddies in our gym that doubt the program challenged us to test our supposed new strengths. Now the most I have ever put on the bench was 315 for 3-4 reps struggling. But today it felt light. It felt surprisingly light. So we through two more 45s on and I s**t you not I pushed out 4 good controlled reps at 405. My partner gave it a whirl and as well pushed out 3 nice reps. 2 weeks before we started he was struggling with 315 even once. S**t just got real. No more doubts. It works. We are going to be busting even harder and heavier. This is exactly what we needed to turn it up and hit the second half of this program full speed along the highway to hell.

I want to wish a merry christmas and happy new year to all my animal brothers. Its been a hell of a year for me, full of life changes. It started off not so good. Life was a little disorganized and depressing. I had got into some trouble and was battling alcoholism. My military career was skating on a thin piece of ice. I want to take this time to thank Animal. I discovered the way of the animal earlier this year while in recovery. It changed my way of life. It made me a survivor. It made me strong inside and out. And as of dec.4 I am proud to say I am over a year alcohol free. All because of the support and encouragement from my wife, daughter, parents, fellow soldiers, the United States Army, and the Animal Nation. I have great thanks for all parties involved. This past year was one I am very proud of and this next upcoming year is going to be another year for growth. Personal growth and of course physical growth with the training program we all love, HRT. My best wishes go out to all of you. Train hard. Dig deep. Drive on. Never quit.

So the holidays have once again got the best of my partner and I. Our diet and training went out of the window. Mainly cause we both went on holiday leave( vacation) back home. Im back to work though my partner is still on vacation. So we are transitioning to solo HRT for the time separated.

Called my partner but this is all the info I got of him. Just guessing his diet was similar.

Our only excuse is being in the military and eating crappy food, whenever you get good old mom home cooking there is no putting down the fork or saying no than you to that home cooked meal. Well get back on track.

So on the beginning of the week I had a great leg workout, so I decided to treat myself to my favorite cheat meal, a huge burrito from a little mexican mom and pop roach coach style eatery. Ate there over a dozen times but this time I unfortunately got food poisoning. This led to an unpleasant week with poor workouts and trying to force feed myself and hold it down. Reason for such low macros. Feeling better now and looking toward this upcoming week to get back to my routine.

As for my partner, he is still on vacation, so no info to post on him.. We are both doing solo HRT right now. Its good but I can't wait to hit the weights together. Luckily he will be here this weekend. Whether it's motivation , trust, or support HRT is best with a partner to go through hell with. Atleast in my opinion.
