i think i hit a plateau since my weight is stuck at 140. ive been reading a lot of articles and found out that i can stop plateaus by changing my routine in my workout....so what i did was increasing my weight for each set of each muscle and doing it in less reps...will this be effective?
and also will eating MORE get me to break out of the plateau? or cutting more calories?
currently im on a diet of 1200~1500 calories a day.
edit: ive been doing cardio lately everytime i lift to change my routine. switching from walking to running (HIIT)

yes, do 1 all you can eat day or increase calories for a couple days by,say, 500cals.
but frankly, at 140lbs, you need more muscle to even consider a diet.

so you're saying i should gain my weight first? i just want to lose body fat %...i think mines too high for now. and should i take my meals to 5 to 6 times per day? because right now im doing 2 meals a day.
edit: will the higher calories make me gain weight? or only for awhile? because im scared i might gain more weight during my rest days (weekends)

its your choice whether you want to get lean or add some mass before you go on the diet.
the diet will be easier if you have some additional muscle.
imo, it doesnt matter if you take 6 or 3 meals a day as long calories are the same, but 6 meals get you easier through the day,i.e. you will not be starving so much.
simply eat a bit less on training free days and you will be fine.
but if you cant lose anymore weight at 1200calories a day, its time to add some mucle and weight.and then start diet again later on.
just eat clean and mak sure to work out and rest plenty and most of the weight gain would be muscle.

no, you gotta eat 500 cals more than your maint cals. find out what you need to maintain your weight and add 500 cals a day of clean foods and high amounts of lean protein.
