Title pretty much says it but when I go out with a girl its normally the same thing of eating out, movies, mall, or they come to my house/i go to theirs. I dont party and I dont drink or smoke, never have and its not something I really want to get into so that takes away some things I can do with them but it still goes well because I have gone out even with the most hardcore party animals which coincidentally stop partying while they go out with me.

point being any suggestions on where else I could go to mix things up a bit???

improv comedy shows that are interactive w/the audience
interactive museums
art shows/galleries
trampoline park
water park
bowling
shooting range (I think there might be a few of those where you're located lol)

Not a fan of sitting down and having dinner unless there's some kind of gimmick to it like a fondue restaurant or a japanese place where they cook the food in front of you and make a performance out of it.

You could always take a cooler w/some food and beverages and a boombox to a lake or river. Lot's of ways to make that fun. Have a stone skipping contest, do tricks in the water like have her try to stand on your shoulders and jump off, stuff like that. Wrestle in the sand, etc.

thats a great idea with the comedy i actually never thought of that and we have tons of big spots down here repped thank you.

museums are eh. some would like it some wouldnt. park is boring. water park is dirty/far here now. bowling is 6th grade. never met a girl who wanted to shoot a gun unless theyr the country ones lol...

Depends on the girl...
Go Kart racing. We have a inside track here, it's actually fun.
We live close to the Omaha zoo - we go there a couple times a year. What girl doesn't like animals?
The bf made a date of getting up early and we shopped for fresh food at a farmer's market, then went home and cooked together.
We both love football - want to go to some games badly! But that's probably not for every girl.
Concerts?

I dated a girl that liked to go to burlesque shows which can be alot of fun. I'm not sure if the same is true for most women but it's an idea.

Not sure if this would actually appeal to anyone else, but definitely one of the most memorable dates I can recall was after lunch, heading over to the local animal shelter and volunteering to walk the GIANT dogs that never get to go out, as usually its just elderly folks that volunteer to do this and they can't handle bigger dogs, so they never get to go out.

Anyway, there were some reeeeeely big dogs there that day, and of course you can't just walk SOME, so...
we proceeded to get dragged around by twenty or so extremely excited 100+lb dogs on a leashes down some pretty shady streets (had to stay in vicinity of shelter) while trying to converse is definitely a challenge, but also a blast!

Next day though not as great, as felt like was dragged behind a bus instead of out on date, but still great fun

tbh that actually probably would be kind of fun. When I volunteered all of last year at an alzheimers home I actually would go in the morning with the girl I was dating and that was always fun to do. I need to go back there tbh, not to use it as a "hangout" place but because yeah. Its a good thing for both of us to do, relationships aside. thanks for the input!

the only go kart place is ghetto now and its a dump tbh. dont even know how they stay open anymore.

and see here in Houston everything is so far lol, the zoo being one of them. its not worth the trip... Ive actually done that before, gone to the farmers market, same with going to the store. but cant do that everytme lol :/

the football would fall under having a girl over at my house lol :/

Art/history museums
Instead of the movies, how about a local play?
Burlesque shows are a lot of fun!
Hiking trails/night hikes are always a good time
Outdoor music festivals
Aquariums
Shooting range
Golf range
Mini golf
Battting cages
Arcades

I missed the japanese place you suggested...that's a great time. I do enjoy going out to dinner though. I prefer quiet places, where the rooms are little darker, candles on the table...not crazy expensive...but a place where you can have nice conversation.

*Just in case Keltron ever takes me out...he needs to know this!* :D

wow... Alzheimers Home....? Now that would definitely been a unique date experience!! I think that might even top the Animal Shelter (except you weren't sore the next day....LoL!)

OP - my GF had the idea last weekend to head to the mini-golf place in Galveston (yeah this is some kind of long distance dating...). That was fun. Except for her beating the crap out of me.

Maybe go walk the beach and then do that? It's called Magic Carpet or something. Ridiculously hard mini golf course.

plays are so hit and miss, the one I always do take people to go see is the Trans Siberian Orcahstra concert and the Christmas Carol downtown. If you have never been to a TSO concert go, watch the vid below its amazing ive gone like 5 years straight now. I dont think were old enough to go to a show like that lol. The only aquarium we have sucks and everyone knows it does. Every arcade is ghetto lol =(

seriously watch this video, theyr a rock band mixed with orchastra and its seriously one of the best musical performances Ive ever seen, thsi is their closing song. But they take symphonies and other songs/Christmas songs and change them into rock songs its amazing

A lot would depend on the girl I guess, but the kind of things I like to do are:

- baseball game (please disregard record of my state's team....)
- beach
- batting cages / play catch
- rock climbing
- picnic
- dog park if you have/she has a dog...
- trained a lot with my ex... swim/bike/run

I get what you are saying. Her fam has a beach house there so yeah it's boring to her. But I hadn't been and we had a great time. Till I pouted when I had a snowman on the 16th hole. LOL

If the chick hasn't been to Galveston very often, then I think it could work well. There's enough places there in that little New Orleans like downtown to walk around.

Oh and the gumbo place kicks butt! I lived in Looziana and that place was pretty damn good.

That reminds me the first date I went on with this girl was over in that place near BW 8 and I-10. City Center?

I took her to dinner and then we walked around and people watched before we had some wine at the wine bar. I know you ain't old enough for that yet. But stuff like that works - places where there are lots of shops and people and stuff.
