Been using this app for the iPhone called Flex to track my workouts and weight for the past few months. It's a great app it's quick and that's what I need in the gym.

I still have ****ed up patella tendons and my knees are still bad. I'm considering abandoning squats and substituting with one legged weighted dumbbell step ups. Any thoughts on this?

I'm up to 188lbs at 5' 7". I'm shooting for 191lbs and then I'm going to reassess and reevaluate my goals.

The cool thing about Flex is that it gives you nice charts for your strength and body weight. So you always keep gaining weight and strength. It times your workouts too. I've gotta get to a computer so I can upload my logs and charts but I'm gonna start keeping this log again. I'm the heaviest and strongest I've ever been and I wanna keep gaining. Not sure if I wanna eventually hit 200lbs someday. I'm a short guy I think 200 is too much at 5' 7". When I hit 191 I may just start aiming for strength goals only and not care about weight. My other joints have started to hurt recently such as my shoulder, elbows, and wrists. Not sure what I can do about that. Kinda getting unmotivated because my body hurts. Why keep going?

When my joints start hurting, thats usually a sign for me to have a De Load week.

Take this week off or just go lighter, Good luck man!

if you don't already, have you considered taking a joint suppliment?

there are a number of good products out there. i've had success with animal flex. i've also read a lot of good things about different fish oils and cissus. a 2 week period of lighter weights, using that time to really focus on form, is better than having to take off 4 or 5 months b/c you really hurt yourself.

currently take 9-12g of fish oil a day. haven't taken anything else for joints but i've heard about sutff like glocosamine.\

animal flex is for joints? think it'll help?

Ya you gotta take time off or go 20% down on normal weight. Seriously do it cause if you dont your gonna be wishing you did, I had to take almost 2 weeks off to get back to where I was once my tendon fatigue set in. Reps much appreciated. :)
