Hi, today i have an interview to become a fitness consultant. This is my second interview and it is practical. Basically they are putting me on the floor and assesing me. I was wondering if there are any tips people could give me about approaching people to talk to them eg conversation and when to do it.
Thanks for the replies

Fitness consultant, at my gym at least, basically means selling personal training packages.
So what we do is ask people on the floor if they've had their free fitness assessment that comes with the membership. If no, take them through fitness tests, weight and measurements, talk goals and go straight into the sales pitch from there.

Cool thanks for the reply. This job is just talking to people and guiding them when they need help i think. But theres only so much i can say to people while they are working out

Hey Joe Cannon,
Just finished your post on preparing for a personal trainer interview. Wow! Great job. Good point about the emergency procedures.
One area which you didn't cover was compensation. I am just beginning my journey as a p/t and wanted to know how to broach this subject during the interview.
