The aim for a keto diet is to keep the carbs as low as possible.. maybe 10-20g's a day. Also, not to have any sugars as it can throw you out of ketosis.

As for cottage cheese, it's fine.. eat it.

At the same time, you would probably want to have upwards of 150-200g's of proteins and fat a day. Make sure you are eating enough though, eat too little on keto and you will be shedding pounds of fat, and at the same time.. shedding muscle at an alarming rate. I keto'd from 281-243 and rebounded back to 260(my own fault) and I lost a lot of muscle over the course of that month. Nearly 40 pounds in one month, imagine how much of that was muscle.. maybe 5-7 pounds?

Enjoy, it's a b**** to start up, but once you get into the first week, the cravings drop. I also found that, it's way better to watch little to no TV at all, my mind was always stimulated by all the commercials of fast food joints and restaurants. I'm actually about to be on my 4th day of keto tomorrow, trying to lose 20 pounds myself, hope that I can accomplish it by Nov. 28.

Please help Why do you want to start a keto diet? It offers no metabolic advantage over a traditional carb filled diet on a per calorie basis and does not teach you how to eat properly. Most keto dieters gain the weight back once they re-introduce carbs in their diets because they never learned how to diet properly.

Completely the truth, and I am in the statistics of people who gained weight back. The only thing I was grateful for was that I only gained back 17 pounds rather than the full 38 pounds back.

Most doctors don't know **** about proper nutrition. They are only good for charging you money for regular visits. And also, healing you if you have a serious problem. Nutrition-wise they can't give you advice.
