Impressive weight at her age but yikes at the form. I understand form can go to **** when doing a 1RM but she's awfully young to get into bad habits (if that is her typical deadlift positioning). Still, nice to see that she has an interest.

Still, nice to see that she has an interest. I went from zero deadlifting to deadlifting 205 in about 3 months. And my form went out the window and I herniated a disc! Form is SO important - but I had somebody yelling "You can do it!", and pride got in the way of common sense. I haven't been able to deadlift since April and live with chronic pain. Eventually it'll get better and I'll be able to go back to deadlifting, but when I see others letting their form suffer just to get the weight up, it scares me.

Yeah, that shouldn't be encouraged - proper form should come before pushing ones self for an accomplishment. Encouraging otherwise is just setting someone up for future trouble - some of which no one comes back from (like my husband's injuries)

Can someone critique her form? I'd like to know what you'd change. Maybe it will make me a better lifter. :)

I didn't think her form was that bad, could be a little better but that much weight I thought she held it together well. Maybe im missing something.

Her form didn't look too bad to me. Good starting position. No obvious back rounding. Pushed her hips out and straightened her legs early that's it. People on here do way worse on less than their 1RM.

Her form wasn't *too* terrible and it is an impressive weight for her age

It just looked as though she pulled the last 1/4 of the movement with her back rather than driving from the legs

Ok, thanks. I was all O_O I don't see too much wrong for a 1RM!!!!

When I deadlift, I put my hands the same directions. Am I doing it wrong or is either way correct?

Either way is correct. It helps with your grip when you get to higher weights if you alternate, as she does in the video, but it's really not wrong to do it either way.

She'd be able to pull a lot more weight if she aligned her knees with her ankles and hips. I do the same damned things when I dead, though.
