I live in Vienna, Virginia and workout at the Oak Marr Rec Center when im home. Currently i attend college in Ontario, Canada but will be back in late April, around April 28th. I am looking for a training partner, but i like the Oak Marr center because its cheap, whereas Golds Gym is flat out expensive for no reason. (Plus u see more cute girls my age at Oak Marr).

if you are in the Richmond area, then the best gym would be M.O.D off of staples mills road. This is the best you will get to a real hardcore gym. The Gold's there are not that great. Wolfgangs is also a good gym, but they have lost a lot of people since ownership changed.

Check out the M.O.D, it will be worth your time.

Cool, I'm guessing you're at Longwood? I just met Whitney when he took over the gym, but he seems like a cool dude. I definitely agree that Curtis is the biggest guy there. yah..... and whats cool about whitney is he is hardcore when he lifts..... he's not a cardio monkey like alot of gym owners. the workouts that him, craig ( another guy), this guy eric, ryan, myself, and a few other guys do are crazy. for a gym in lil old farmville we git-r-done! im actually gonna try to get up to wolfgangs here in about the next two weeekends or so cause whitney wants me to talk to curtis about helping me for next summer when i compete.

glad to see that his gym in c-field is taking off.... he just moved to another location here, so its like a mile run from campus instead of just across the street... so he might lose a lil buisness there....but he moved into an old warehouse so it ****ign feels more like a gym ( or what im used to).

Hello from Iraq. I lived in Richmond for 18 great years before moving away. I visit everytime I can. I work out at the gym here on the Camp and it's nothing as good as what any of you guys have, but it gets the job done. I will be back in the Richmond area for a visit early next year after I get out of here. the best gym I ever used in Richmond was a little hole-in-the-wall gym on Broad Street down by VCU called Ironhouse Gym. It was run down, smelled horrible and it looked like the building had been bombed...it was awesome! It was pure beast in there. Straight lifting iron, no bs, no skimpy clothes. Just muscle, sweat, blood, and loud music.

I work out at the base gym on NSA and on the weekends I work out at ballys by the greenbrier mall.

Yeahhh, kind of. I told my parents (who are paying it right now) that they should look at it as me SAVING money the first TWO years, and getting a nicer name on my degree.

It didn't convince them, but they let me go anyway. :P
