Modern Family is back tonight, and I'm checking out Ted Danson on CSI. They're rebooting the whole show, so I'll bite.
Tried Unforgettable, New Girl, and Raising Hope.
Raising Hope-great
Unforgettable, iffy
New Girl, probably dropping.
Have not seen Ringer(might try it,kinda soapy sounding to me, a little turned off), want to see Charlie's Angels, and then Terra Nova. What else is coming up? I really haven't heard much about this new season.

Prime Suspect - NBC. Think it premeires tomorrow night.

We watched Ringer.
I almost shut it off 20 minutes in. They definitely do not have a very large budget. I'm going to give it another shot though. The premiere left me intrigued....
I saw a preview a few weeks ago for some show Ever After or Once Upon a Time or something. Looked good but I don't know when it starts and I haven't seen any ads lately.
I'm not sure about Ted Danson on CSI. I didn't see what was wrong with Laurence Fishburne. I didn't like Gil leaving, but I got used to Langston and actually started liking him. But Ted Danson? I dunno....
I watch too much TV as it is, no need to get hooked on new shows. :o

LOL RebeccaG, me too. Way too many shows. And Castle season one just arrived via Netflix for us to watch while hubby is on vacation next week.
But you completely reminded me Grimm and that Ever After or whatever it's called are on my list. Thank you!
Paulett, had not heard of Prime Suspect, about to Google it, thank you!

Once Upon a Time.
I googled it after I posted.
Starts October 23. :)
I'm also reluctant to start new shows as I apparently have bad taste and the ones I get really into get canceled. I got into two shows last summer and both were canceled. And the only new show we started last fall was canceled, too. BAH!

Lulz. Did you watch "V"? I raged when they decided not to bring it back after a hell of a cliffhanger for the season finale.
Modern Family is high-larious.
Is CougarTown back as well?

No, I never watched V.
I'm a little chapped that we didn't start watching Modern Family or Parenthood. I assumed that, since they looked really good and I wanted to watch them, they would get canceled so I didn't bother. And now look at them.
I can't start shows in the middle so I'm SOL.
I hope Cougar Town comes back.
You know what else pisses me off? When networks movie shows. CSI to Wednesdays, Big Bang Theory to Thursdays. That's how shows get canceled.

Why don't you just go back and watch all the ones you missed online?

I'm not a huge fan of watching TV on my laptop plus it's sometimes hard to find decent places to watch TV online, for free, in Canada.

BAH times two! I am the death knoll for good sci-fi, sadly. We were V watchers, and I still weep for Jericho. *small voice* I even sent nuts to CBS. ;)
Ooooo, we live for Cougar Town. It's just nutty enough to keep you entertained week after week.

Ha! I get some flak as a guy for watching that but it really is an underrated show.

We watched Jericho! That was years ago, wasn't it?
I heart Busy Phillips. And I have a little TV crush on Josh Hopkins. :o

We didn't get HBO until halfway through the first season of Dexter.
One day I will DVD that shiit or something. I heard it's fantastic and I really liked Michael C Hall when he was in Six Feet Under.
I've been hearing a lot about this Fringe show. Does it start this season? What's the deal?

I totally follow TheLarmy on Twitter.
Word on the street is that CT isn't returning until November and may return under a new name..... I know it's not really fitting anymore, but I like the title!
Yeah, Canada sucks for this !!

Youtube is the only reliable place I've found.
Reliable does not equal quality....

Fringe is worth watching.
S1 is so-so.... but about halfway through S2 sh it gets real and it gets REALLY good.
Then it gets to S3 which is AWESOME. I was literally cursing every time an episode ended bc I couldn't wait to see what happened next.
Supernatural was also very good if you can get through the first season. After that it gets better & better as well.

Add me to the Fringe and Dexter club. We got Showtime just for Dexter, lol.
Warn me if any of these new shows are dark ala retooled Bionic Woman/Battlestar Galactica.
I am not a lofty tv watcher. I don't do angst, with the exception of The Sarah Conner Chronicles. I forgive anything Terminator. ;) Hence the Cougar Town addiction. ;)
Retooled CSI is supposed to go back to the feel of season one-more science based, Less dark. Ted Danson's character is supposed to have been raised in a commune, and looks at science in a new light. Hope it's good!

Ugh. Too much to catch up on.

I did think CSI was on the verge of a shark jump so this could be good. They kind of lost footing with Warrick, Sara and Gil all leaving back to back...to back.
Starts tonight!

fuuuuuuuuuuuuu.... I LOVED that show. Probably the best-written series I've ever watched with the exception of "The Wire".
BOTH of those shows phucked my sleeping patterns up for about a week because I was literally watching about 8-10 eps/day.

Fringe is in its 4th season. Think xfiles on a larger scale with better actors and more personality.
Dexter is just ****ing awesome. You can download the episodes on thepiratebay.org

I'm on the fence with CSI-hopeful, though-seems like it might make out okay.
Charlies Angels tonight, and all I've heard is that it, and The Playboy Club, should be the first shows to be chopped this season.

This is me. If I like a show there's a really good chance it's going to get cancelled. Apparently my taste in shows goes counter to the Nielsen ratings but when you consider what a success stupid shows like Jersery Shore are, I'll take that as a compliment to my intelligence lol.
I haven't really watched tv in a long time. I'm just too tired at the end of the day to summon up the mental energy. Probably why dh DOES like stupid shows like Jersey Shore.

Ugh, Jersey Shore! I've tried so hard to like it-I've even watched the cast in regular interviews and they are very likeable, but I just cannot.get.into.it.

Okay, so I liked Charlies Angels, so give it about 1 episode before cancellation. It wasn't the best pilot, but at least the girls were believable in the action scenes.
It's doomed.

Did you ever watch "What About Brian?" fittness?
It was a really good show (I thought anyway)... but it got the axe too after maybe 2 seasons. Back from a few years ago now.
If the girls were believeable in Charlie's Angels then maybe it has a chance. That was one of the things that drove me CRAZY about the movies. I think the second one was one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life.
fittness93
09-23-2011, 07:15 AM
I watched it a bit, but it left as quickly as it came.
Well, the new Angels are not exactly tough-tough looking, but their kicks seemed well practiced, and their gun handling was as believable as any on tv. It at least looked like they were comfortable with guns. That's all I ask. I'm not particularly lofty in my expectations, I count XXX, the first one, as one of my favorite action movies, and I did like the Charlie's Angels movies. :)

The Playboy Club?
Never heard of it.
I think Ted Danson might be ok on CSI. I really like Marg Helgenberger (or whatever lol) but her character has been going downhill lately. Those one liners are KILLING me. Especially that Carrot Top one from last season.

I have zero interest in Charlie Angel's. Or any of those remakes.
Are there NO original ideas left in this world??
Community and Big Bang Theory started last night. As did The Office, but we didn't get to it last night. I DVR'd Whitney and Happily Divorced. No idea how far Whitney will go but I'm thinking Happily Divorced might not make it.

She's a pretty funny lady. I dig her on Chelsea Handler.
She also wrote 2 Broke Girls which is getting pretty good reviews after the premiere.

I had no idea. That explains some of the inside jokes on Whitney I heard about. I only came later in the show, but what I saw was hilarious.
