Since nutrition section is obviously the most knowledgable forum on bb.com I'm asking you guys for some help.
Does this http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/4-day-power-muscle-burn-workout-split.html routine seem good for an 18 yo? I've been following it for awhile now but just had awful nutrition to see results and I've kinna gotten bored of it. Should i stick with it? If not can you rec me a workout. Thanks in advance for any advice!
Side note: Im limited on equip. my gym only has a smith machine as squat/bench and a 30lb short bar....24hr legal issue crap.

Buy a cheap Olympic set and power rack... check craigslist for used ones. The equipment you have available is not suitable, you would probably be better off just doing more intense bodyweight stuff, get a book called The Naked Warrior, and learn to do one arm/one leg pushups, handstand pressups, one legged squats, one arm chinups etc... or get some better equipment. Either way you will do better than you will with the **** your gym is trying to pass off as equipment.

That sounds pretty reasonable actually, I'm hoping the gym goes thru with their plan to move across the street to a larger area where they will incorporate a free weight area. In final stages, just have to finish some interior refurbishing. But maybe a dbell routine with BW exercises could suffice until they move (est time till move bout 4 weeks)

Don't sweat the small stuff (BB v. DB). Go heavy and push yourself and you'll see results. SS is good or you could get on a good push/pull routine, like:

or

Layne Norton's PHAT is also pretty popular.

Assuming he has the dumbbells for it. If the dumbbells only go to 60 or 70 lbs I can't imagine him doing any type of low rep progressive overload for long as a healthy young man, as it would only be a matter of weeks before a 5x5 with a pair of 70s will not cut it for squats, bench or rows.

Got up to 100s and I think they have up to 120 in storage, rack only holds 5-100 :P

You're right. I didn't even think about that.

Hopefully in a few weeks they'll get some updated equipment! You could still get some good workouts in with those.

That should hold you over a little while until you can get access to a barbell.
