Up until a few days ago, I was blissfully content knowing I was eating 12-1300 calories per pint of B&Js. We've been lied to. I've measured the last 4 pints that have entered my household. Still packaged, they weighed anywhere between 300-350 g. What. The. Hell.

Anyone else notice this, or is this a Canada only thing?

the other day I weighed out 2 sevings of half baked, then one more a litte later, there was less than half a serving left.
it clearly states theres suppose to be 4 servings per pint. :(

So how many calories a pint?

I've also noticed that many foods are much heavier or lighter then they say on the lable.

My pint of Phunky Monkey last night weighed in at:

840 cals instead of 1200.

Serving size and macro content varies greatly from flavor to flavor. Clusterfluff for instance has much more fat due to the delicious peanutbutter swirls.

Serving size 4? Less than 1,000 calories....?

I would have guessed this would be the case but have never weighed it so I could stay innocently unaware. Thanks for screwing that up for me :(

Not surprised since they make it by the individual pint. Some pints have many more mix ins and some just suck.

I just weighed out a pint of Froyo Chocolate Fudge Brownie ... with the packaging it's 415g ... there's supposed to be 4x104g servings, so this one is definitely short.

NCepeeist

Definately had one the other day that was ~340g with the packaging.

Edit: was supposed to be 4x109g= 436g

Dammit, I love eating straight out of the pint so I just counted 4 servings. Now I'm going to have to scoop it out, weigh it, and put it back in the tub, but it still won't have the same effect as eating it straight out of the pint :(

Totally srs btw.

It's a win/win in my book peeps. If you're cutting fuk yea you're still in a deficit. If you're bulking then over time you won't see gains so you end up eating more so fuk yea anyway, amirite?

More concerned about getting ripped off than screwing up calories, it says 4 servings on the container.

If I get 3 and 1/3 servings out of a pint instead of 4, they're stealing about 83 cents.

you do understand you buy icecream by volume not weight?
a pint is 473ml
the label is just a guide of what a quarter pint may weigh

While thats probably a good point, it still pisses me off. :(

So if you're eating the whole pint then the macros are probably right, just the weights per serving are incorrect?
Don't see how it can be so far off, unless they're just guessing.

This is good news, I think. As said above if you're cutting you are saving a few hundred calories, and if you're bulking you're saving a few hundred calories.

No, because the weight usually signifies more mix-ins. Lacking those mix-ins and replacing it with icecream will change the macros.

Label says 500 mL. From a physics standpoint, 500 mL = 500 g (water). Were getting ripped off, and I prefer to be disciplined where I can so I can let **** go somewhere else.

IIRC from the few US pints I've had i think each serving of B&J is supposed to be 100ish grams so 400g total for a pint
