I go to my local YMCA. I think they're all seperately run and nonprofit?
On a sidenote I have a sweet discount on a family membership through my wife's previous employer, she hasn't worked at the place that gives her the discount for a year. coolstorybro.jpg

Yeah, years ago I got sick of making someone else rich, paying to wait for sweaty benchs and curl racks and forced to listen to lady gaga, so I bought all my own equipment. Think of how much sweet new toys you can buy each yearfor what you spend on dues, time driving and waiting, gas, etc.

I make the car sleep outside. Priorities...yeah but I hear ya. Used to have a bench outside under corrugated roofing as a home setup for days I couldn't get to gym.

If my gym wasn't a 10 minute bike ride away, I would have bought a rack awhile ago. A rack + barbell + bench + weights is like two years of gym membership for me too.

No garage. When I lived alone I had a bench and dumbells. Now my wife thinks we should have a "spare room". Oh well. Paying for it is extra motivation because I'm cheap and won't waste money. If I won the lottery I'd have a sick ass gym in my man cave

Not sure, it used to be a Gold's but now it's called fitness express or some nonsense. The free weight area is separated from the cardio area by a hallway filled with machines, so we can make an absurd amount of lifting noise and no one says a word. $25 / month, definitely worth it until I can start investing in a home set up.

I own my own gym.
It consists of 2 adjustable dumbbells and 1 adjustable barbell.
I do bench presses lying on the arm support of my sofa, come at me.
