Deleted my thread in general nutrition to create this one.

No 50lb weight but a 15lb backpack. Also as someone said in the other thread no this isn't 6mph.
That would be a jog unless you were 7 feet tall and im only 5' 9"

On leg days it isn't ideal...

What's your maintenance, current calorie intake, macros, micros?

Walking just to walk, or walking for extra cal expenditure?

I'm adhering to leangains. This particular question has been hardest to figure out.
I am around 17-18% bodyfat according to katch mcardle I have a bmr around 1800. But wtf should my activity factor be?

At work im a floor manager in timeshare. I walk MAYBE another 1-2 miles at work but am on my feet regardless.

So I've been near 3000 calories a day.
Lifting 4-5 times a week also.

My scale is not moving but visually my body is changing and i am adding muscle. Or something.
Because after I started creatine i've seen the scale dip one time to 175 then climb up to 178-179 again and stay there.

180-210g protein a day
200-300g carbs
Rest fats.

Supps are BCAA, creatine, and protein, and multi.

Why so much walking?

I moved from las vegas to lake tahoe.
My job isn't what i thought it would be and housing here is not cheap so i live 3 mi from work one direction... Then my gym is 1.5 mi from my house between my home and office so unless I hit the gym on the way to work it's another 3mi round trip to/from the gym.

Additionally I walk at work another maybe mile... I maybe two if it's really busy.

This is not the type of place to not own or have constant access to a vehicle.

Busses do not go to where I am. I even if they do it doesn't run efficiently when I'm on shift and stops 1.5 miles from home.

Like I said its functional for commuting and for calorie burn... Good in many ways.

Do you lift?

You have to lift your legs to walk, so yes.

Why do you think walking is such an impressive feat that you had to make a thread about it?

Do you lift?

Yes... I was doing way too much before when i was on keto. Some full body every other day = overtrsining sore joints and came. Down with nasty cold....

Came off keto and started to study on IF.. after starting if i am doing reverse pyramid training and being really careful in recovery time.

Day1. Arms/chest/shoulders
Day2: off
Day3: back (upper/lower)
Day4: off
Day5: legs
Day6: off
Day7: arms/chest/shoulders

I do four exercises per body part with my first time being a compound (bench press/military press/squats/deadlifts)

The first set is 5-6 reps very heavy then drop 20% weight and add 2 reps for 2 more sets...

I have to rest as much as 3-5 minutes after the first sets. They kill me.

If I feel I need to rest more than a day between I do.

My workouts last 45min-1 hour on single bodypart workout days and almost 2 hours on the upper body three part day.

But I'm constantly reading and learning and ill change things if i need to...

I never said nor did I insinuate that it was "Impressive"
I am confident it is out of the ordinary so i created a thread about it.

Just to clarify - you walk 6-8 miles WITH a 15lb backpack?

I walk at least 5-6 a day without trying. College with classes on the other side of campus, isn't really that hard to be honest. If I took a few scenic routes, I could hit 7-8 a day without even manipulating my daily schedule.

Are you aware that there are people in this world that have a severe medical condition which causes them to be that way? My mother for instance is one of those people. She is a truck driver that has bad knees and a bad back from driving the truck but you probably do not care about that case either. Oh well I am not one of those people I am 6'4" 245lbs and I exercise every day. I would love to see you say something like to my mother in front of me. Probably never happen though you are probably just an internet tough guy. I doubt very seriously you would say that to someones face. Just my thought. What do you think. Oh I am sorry you probably do not have a brain. I on the other hand will be happy to buy you a plane ticket to come here and see if you have the nerve to say that to someone I know.

Do you love turtles as much as I do? Do you think about your turtles while your walking?

Well give / take... I commute this way so have 2 sets clothing/warer/food for the day and usually my netbook...

Curious if you've ever used a gps to check and see. I used the mapmyrun.com app and adidas micoach... I there is also a 350ft elevation change but ppl will probably say that's nothing doing either haha...

I use the same application. In Louisiana, we don't have elevation change though which is something I didn't think about. When I was purposely trying to walk more to raise my TDEE, I was walking probably 10 miles a day or so. A purposeful 4 miles on top of my daily walking routine (to and from classes).

For reference, all of my classes are about 1 mile away from my dorm at least. It's on the other side of campus. So that's 1 mile to class and one mile back. Considering I have at least 3 classes a day or so, that's 6 miles just from that. That's not including the walk to the cafe for lunch and dinner which is also quite a trek from my dorm room.
