i wanna fly into winnipeg form nyc on saturday, just for day- go to a concert, have some drinks with new friends and take a 5am red eye back home. i can afford it and its my favorite band and i'm really getting along with these people.

gonna see them again in two weeks...flying out ot edmonton, then driving to vancouver (for shows) and spending a week in vancouver/seattle with my sister following that....

that seems "normal"

but to go to winnipeg for the day...i mean i can afford, and i wont be embarassed about it, i just wanna hear some similar experiences

Not crazy at all. Sounds like fun in fact. I end up taking single day (sometimes no overnight) flights all the time for work - why not do it for something you enjoy?

was heavily leaning and my friends/tour buddies who are doing the whole canada swing are being very helpful (offering to pck me up form the airport and drive me there when the bars close)...gonna get to sit in the first 10 rows....fork it, ya know? friends at home are lamesauce....boring and/or married

I flew out to see a band once last minute a few years ago, no plans. No hotel. Managed to grab tickets last minute, flew out 3 hours, rental car straight to show, after show back to airport and "slept" at the airport, flew back it 6am, at work at 10am. Drank mad coffee to stay awake.

bought a greyhound ticket. went to work. then caught bus to meet my friends from my city in another city. couldn't get coverage last minute but still decided to go last minute. it was only a few hours away. so, i made it just fine. rode back w/ them afterwards.

f---ckin did it! flew into winnipeg yesterday, caught an incredible show, 5th row center, went out with some friends, made some new ones....zombie walked into the airport this morning at 4, transferred in toronto at around 10. home in nyc by 2. am i zonked? hell yes. was it worth it? hell yes!
gonna do some light lifting, little cardio, have a good meal and a little adult drink and conk out early tonight.

be spontaneous people!
