So, after 2 weeks and several business trips, I've finally managed to get my daily eating and activity habits under control again. For the past 6 months I have been following a very healthy lifestyle. I've cut out any bad eating habits, cutting down on drinking alcohol while totally overhauling my diet and maintaining a strict exercise regime (gym about 4-5 times a week). This has lead to a massive change in my body, mood and general outlook - all for the better.

But I've also found that that from time to time, I have 'fallen off the wagon' as it were. When I do, I tend to fall hard. I don't starve myself or do anything out of the ordinary when I'm on the wagon (I even give myself 1 day/night a week off to indulge slightly), but when things come up that interrupt my routine, such as a business trip/holiday, my whole lifestyle goes out of the window for up to a couple of weeks at a time.

Each time I do it, I tell myself 'never again'. But I find it very hard to keep focus when my routine is knocked, which leads to this issue.

Does anyone else have similar problems? And if so, what are you doing to combat this?

its tough for me too, but im getting better with it. the biggest thing for me was to learn to understand if i am eating out someplace i need to stay even stronger and make better decisions about ordering.

Plan ahead! That is the biggest tip i can give you. I am guessing on business trips you eat out a lot and don't go to the gym? Bring some good snack with you, almonds/beef jerky are my favorite. Even if u end up going to a steak house or maybe fast food just watch what you order. Instead of a bigmac, fries, and a coke why not try just a cheeseburger and water/lemonade. Or if you go to a sit down restaurant get yourself a steak, fish, grilled chicken, salad and avoid sides like french fries. Or just do your best to mimic what your usual diet is the best you can. All the hotels i have stayed in also have a gym, so that's readily available. Don't let business trips or holidays be an excuse, you can do it.
