So I posted this story on some thread in the Nutr section, but thought I love these stories and want to hear others.

If there is a thread like this just say so and I'll delete this bish.

My funny story today in "Sound and Image Aesthetics" we have to bring in an object that describes us with a list of characteristics. (mine was golf ball, didn't have a hockey puck :( )

Some basketball player brought in a Nutri-Grain bar, this fat chick behind me goes "OMG so unhealthy", I turn around and say "are you kidding me??" At this point our half of the class are listening in, and I was explaining about IIFYM etc etc...in a nice sincere way (people around me are nodding).

The thing she kept repeating as if she was hitting home with it was "there are 12g of sugar in that", so this is where I draw the line. I just say "I eat cookies and ice cream everyday before bed and I still have abs with some mass, you're doin it wrong".

End of story, fat B hasn't said a word to me since! :D

I was just at the grocery store an hour ago, and as I was leaving I overheard a lady say "I was tempted..." and my brain immediately responded with "to neg."

If I could have bertstared myself, I would have.

This forum has educated me, but then again its a gift and a curse.

We go about our daily business having to continually hear these people listening to main stream habits..its a losing battle to try and always educate. Although, I do love feeling smug in my head when I hear others who have no idea.

This weekend I overheard two "large Marge" type women commenting about how they just love their diet (which they are both following the same diet apparently). I came into the conversation mid-way through and did NOT interject myself, just listened. I did some internal facepalms when I heard crap being spewed about how one is so happy that she finally learned that she cannot eat white rice. Marge #1 explained to Marge #2 that while following the diet, which transitions from one phase to another (sounds like SBD or Atkins, but seriously, it could be one of many) she was able to eat brown rice and was okay, but when she transitioned to white rice, she gained 4 pounds. Marge #2 advised her that white rice must be a "trigger food" for her and that she should be happy that she now knows which food to avoid. Marge #1 smiled, nodding her head, claiming that the only thing she changed in her diet was changing from brown rice to white rice, and not only did she stop her weight loss, but the trend reversed, with an immediate one day weight gain of 4 pounds. Of course there was no discussion about sodium, time of the month, or any other myriad possible causes for a one day weight gain, other than the evil refined white rice.

The following gif came to mind.

Don't cut her down man; avoiding sugars clearly worked for her.

Maybe it was an elongation technique, you just didn't see the barbell tied to his c@ck. Hands were probably there to prevent the bar from spinning too much.
