Yeah but come prepared with some science to back up what you say. Dont tell them theyre wrong, just explain why you're right

Most professors or colleges have a grade appeal process. If you can prove that your answer is right based on the info your professor gave you or what your textbook says, you should be able to appeal it..

these werent really scientific, it was more so just defining them i guess and relating them to real world scenarios. hard to explain.

goodie sure hope it works.
What was the test about?
rda, ai, ear, and a bunch of broad stuff like that relating to nutrition concepts more so than actual specifics.

you got an 80 going over basic nutrition 101 stuff? I'm guessing either you're stupid or you figured you know it all and didn't study or pay attention? Guessing that you're 18 and either a freshman or sophmore I'm going with the latter

just turned 18.
and no that's not it at all, it has to do with the teachers opinion. For example, if the nutr teacher in hs would ask "carbs after 6 are bad true or false" if she strongly believed it was true and u put false, ud be wrong and u could not argue around it. That's how it is with this, apparently i'm guessing some things we may conflict on because some of the questions worked that way and I didn't really know her full view on it. I haven't seen what I missed yet, i have to schedule an appt. to go see, because I'm pretty confident I should have gotten an A.
I skimmed over the material briefly. Didnt study for HOSA either and i was the texas runner up for nationals u mad? Just continued reading forums, pubmed, etc. But the same thing occured with that also, conflicting views that I should have known would be counted wrong.
OP trying to prove his bro science is right? wait wut?

no, it's hard to explain because there was to much on it to go into specifics.

One thing I learned in college is how to work the system. My last 5 semesters before my bachelor's I had dean's list because I figured out how to take exams. The first couple years of classes are generally basic, foundational (even weed-out) classes. Some of my courses were held in lecture halls with 800-1200 students. Now, when you are in junior/senior level coursework, your classes will generally be smaller (20-30 students) and the professors will actually know you. It was my experience that the weed-out classes are there to separate those who are just taking the class for gen ed credit or those who have no idea if this is what they want to major in, from those serious about the field of study. 95% of the time you can get great grades from just studying the textbook. Try and get your hands on some old exams so you can get a feel for the style of questions so you know how to study.
IMO it is a waste of time trying to argue with professors of these weed-out classes. Perhaps if it was for the final grade and you missed the next letter grade by one question, but an 80% suggests that you would be better off focusing on the style of questions and I bet you will see that you would probably get better than an 80% of you didn't bother going to class at all and just read the text that the professor has selected.

Exactly right, I don't give a **** if my professor thinks sat fats are bad, I will say they are bad and get ma high distinctions.
Worry about being "right" after you get your degree.
I do argue with one of my profs, but only because I know him personally. Just not worth the effort.

this is probably some bull**** 100 level class where everything is oversimplified and it's basically spoon fed what's going to be on the test. agree with poster above, nobody's gonna care if you were right on the validity of nutrient timing when you get a C in the class. just sayin

I feel you OP, I got a 90 on test #1 so I can't complain too much but the ones I missed were BS.
