So this is my first ever contest prep and a pretty crazy journey.
Currently 4 weeks out! Competing in INBA 2011 NSW titles. I'll be seeing Jive/Webber there and be up on stage against them.
Not starting a journal just yet but just starting a thread for something constructive to contribute to the forums. Also show some before and after shots so you can gauge the transformation that I have undertaken.
It's been a long 16 weeks. Started out with minimal cardio and just decreased my calories slowly over time. Currently my time management is generous and being this far out I'm finding myself moving when ever I can to burn extra calories (walks on my lunch breaks etc). At the moment, I'm working full time (40 hours a week), studying part time (12-13 hours a week) for my Personal Training course and also contest prep which we all know is a 24 hour job with the diet, the day-to-day food choices and struggles with training/mood/everything. So with that, I still manage to cook my meals everyday in preparation for the next and then also get in my training sessions and travel to and from work. Squeezing in cardio has become an issue but something I'll do and I usually find myself as the last one leaving the gym sometimes.
Lately I've had to say to my mate whose my training partner that our workouts need to be quicker, less chit chat and avoid having to wait for machines and what not. It's been working but I can feel it alienating myself from him but he kind of understands it that I'm not being a prick, I'm just starved for time. Weights are easy to smash still, not seeing a huge strength loss even though my diet ( I'll throw it up later ) is pretty low and only SLOWLY decreasing as it has been. To fill the void, I've been drinking Pepsi Max. Cardio is okay, I'm more of a fan of low intensity low impact cardio rather then HIT. After incorporating cardio alot these last few weeks, the time between cardio and my last meal is a warzone in my mind.. I literally am combating fatigue. It's conditioning for mind but scary at the same time when combined with that caffeine crash from my pre workout. I'm pretty proud of what I've accomplished but know I'm not ready for stepping on stage yet, still got 4 weeks to really nail it in.
Here's my progress pictures and drop me some feedback. Apologies for any bad lighting/bad poses/bad photos from the older ones, we all were noobs at some point.
This is me (on the left) back in high school without lifting at all.

Someone please tell me how to embed pictures or embed them for me..... Here's the album link http://imageshack.us/g/88/combos.jpg/
Like I said, it won't be a detailed log or anything with my workouts, just a general thread. I am aware to work on my posing but ****ty camera/****ty lighting! I'll be getting some more this weekend. How am I looking 4 weeks out? Also all my tan products arrived today along with my new CK underwear :D . Anyone have any experience with protan products and what were your thoughts / tips & tricks? Suggestions on last week preps would be amazing too. I've been looking into what to do but need some constructive ideas to push me in either direction.
