You would look pretty dumb if you didn't. I had multiple coats on the rest of my body but only one coat on my face/neck/ears.
Just do one coat early in the morning before pre-judging.

i only done one show..i didn't tan my face or hands. But i was going tan a few times a week throughout the duration of the prep so i was pretty dark regardless.

ALWAYS tan face, neck, feet and hands for ANY show. It take 5 mins and if you lost a place (or several) because you were too lazy to do it .... how stupid would you feel afterwards? You have control over tanning so use it to your best advantage. I still can't get over how many guys I see at the shows walk on stage with a totally screwed up tan. I've seen some so bad that it was almost hard to look at the guy without either feeling sorry for them or laughing at them. If any of the judges feel the same way I did at the time then there's no way they were staring at how good the physique was because when you only have a second or two tops to look at someone your eyes go to the features that stand out the most ... Don't let your tan take the judges eyes away from your body!
Photoshoots aren't much different. When a pic lasts a life time ... make sure you can look at it after and say "that was me at my BEST".
