Thanks guys ...my prep began 12 weeks before the swiss nationals in may where i won the supermasters and placed a close second in the medium size cathegory . I was about 185-186 pounds on stage . the real goal was the world championship 4 weeks later so i just kept dieting and upped my morning fasted cardio from 45m to 1 hour everyday . Training was all along 6 days a week , short and very intense . Heavy weights with good form all the way up to the show . The diet stayed the same and it looked like this : 6 meals a day
meal 1 ( after cardio ) 30g whey iso , 80g oatmeal 1 banana and 6 egg whites
meal 2 250g chicken
meal 3 250g chicken or horse meat , 200g brocolis and 10g oil ( nut or olive oil )
meal 4 ( after training ) 60g whey iso , 30g vitargo , 70g rice
meal 5 300g tilapia 200g brocolis , 10g oil
meal 6 60g casein , 20g walnuts or 15 egg whites with 1 yolk
this from monday to saturday . On sunday it was only protein 300-320g and healthy fats (45-50g ) , protein came from egg whites ( with 1 yolk ) , chicken , lean beef and white fish . On wek out starting on saturday i did 4 days protein- fats and no carbs with lots of water then on wednesday after my last training session ( only upperbody ) i began the carb load with rice and oatmeal gradually drinking less water until show day . No salt from thursday until the day of the show . Note i did not cut water completely only i drank less : 7-8 liters on wednesday , 5-6 on thursday , 3 on friday and some water ( not much ) on saturday . That's it , i kept very simple and relied on my training and cardio all the way , the diet did the rest . Also i NEVER cheated on my diet and was amazed to see on saturday morning what other guys were eating : sweets , snickers bars , sandwiches and....pizza slices ( ! ) while i kept eating my plain rice and horse meat or chicken....
