I'm not getting fancy with this... just keeping it real and training insanely hard... Till I Collapse!!!

Training now consumes a large part of my day and I am always looking for products that I might think could help me with my new endurance goals. This includes competitive cycling, running and Triathlons. I mentioned liking the new profile of White Flood much better than the older one and pt hit me up with a pm so here we are today. Actually I got the White Flood late last week and have used it before 3 of my hardcore endurance workouts including this morning's brutal fasted cardio session.

So far some of the things I can report on: I'm not going to rate it on a scale of 1-10, but rather just add some description.

TASTE:

Ok, I have the fruit punch and upon opening it had a different/unique aroma. I think it is the beet root to be honest and it also gives it a reddish beet hue in the powder and when mixed in water. I wasn't crazy about the smell and I am not crazy about the taste unfortunately. It really is not much like fruit punch in my opinion and I usually do like fruit punch pre-workouts. I really think this is becasue of the beet root as it kinda reminds me of beets in flavor and smell. So I was a little dissapointed and I do feel a good flavor helps one look forward to using a product, but it doesn't make the product either which is where the most important findings come in...

ENERGY/FOCUS:

For the most part, so far so good. The GABA is def. notable esp. in my first two workouts and was a little overwhelming for a short period (5mins?) at the gym. I might have been better to dose at one scoop initially and build up, but I started at almost 2 scoops. High doses of GABA can create a feeling of breathlessness and an overall weird feeling. I am not new to GABA either, but I believe I did this on an empty stomach or mostly empty. This morning as I took 1 and a quarter or so scoop with just some BCAA's I had no issues like this. Either way, each workout so far I was able to get noticeable energy increase and put in some productive workouts.

ENDURANCE:

Well each workout lasted a good 60mins minimum with one lasting 2hrs of sweat-drenched insanity! I've been pretty satisfied with my work put in with the WFV2-enhanced workouts. I like the profile in this regard to endurance aspect although 1.5g between Citrulline, Ornithine and LCLT is not a lot. Consequently, I do wish the stim to efficacious ingredients was a little better as I would love to take this to 3 scoops judging by the profile, but this is a compaint of mine that applies to just about every stim pre-workout out there to some degree. At just over 7g per serving of ingredients it is near the concentrated pre-workouts and maybe a little higher than most. No 1,3 I like for longer term usage, but I don't mind 1,3 when I want it either. Guess that is being banned/restricted now for some reason. I also like the thought of WFV2 as an endurance stacker to other pre's I enjoy including Pump-Bol, Ultima, FlashOver and SPMax.

PUMPS/STRENGTH:

No idea as I don't touch weights anymore!!!

I don't know what else to add as I've been both honest and detailed, but if there are any questions let me know... or if I am missing something. I'll be doing more insane 6:45am workouts starting tomorrow with 1.5 or more scoops of WFV2 so we'll see how it goes.

:)
Thanks for the product to log Controlled Labs people. I always appreciate the time and cost to send products to members here to log and the generosity doesn't go unnoticed.

In for this. Great review so far. I'm definitely interested in seeing this used for endurance.

Thanks. The ingredients should be good for it.

As I promised, another brutal cardio session with pools of sweat lost while I hammered it on the spin bike at the gym... woke 6:15am, took 1.5 scoops of WFV2 and was at the gym for 6:45am. I got in a productive session until I had to leave for work at 7:45am so a real good and hard 60mins worth.

Notes:

Good energy that lasted and no crash. No GABA issue today. Endurance was good even though my calves were killing me on waking from previous day's intense cardio session. I have no complaints today although I am still not into the taste.

Weight today is 190lbs and I want to stay around this or maybe a little lower.

Yet once again I was up 6:15am and ready to make my body hurt on the treadmill. I dosed my WFV2 1.5 scoops and off I went. Oh and I add some MST RPG iBCAA's which I find helps the taste as both products are fruit punch.

I did notice the GABA breath and warmth thing that came over me while on the treadmill while warming up... not a big deal warming up and I might have enjoyed it a little today, but I wouldn't want this at the wrong moment... only lasted a couple mins I'd guess.

I managed to squeeze in a very nice 55min cardio workout before work. My legs have been a little tired past couple days since I've been hammering them every morning... I have an 8km running race on Sat. so I am going to ease off things for the next couple days. Endurance and all that stuff was great considering the leg fatigue... I really pushed through pain and tiredness building up an insane sweat... I was beyond drenched!

I was also in a great mood and still am today.

I downed 2 scoops quickly at 6:15am and raced off to the gym!

Didn't take long for Mr. GABA to take hold! I don't notice many mention this effect, but it hit while I was talking to a few people before the gym opened... It's a really weird effect for me... I'm not sure if anyone noticed it while I was there and chatting... kind of takes my breathe away and a numbing sensation over my body... so weird man. I can't say I totally dislike it as I know why and what it is, but I can imagine someone being a little freaked out if they didn't know what was going on.

I did some easy cardio today because I hope my legs are fresh for my 8km race Saturday. I went from the spin bike to the treadmill to another standing bike machine. Near the end I wasn't wiped out or anything, but I did have a real good sweat by then... I was in a good mood and felt great throughout.

Sorry about the lack of updates here past few days, but I haven't had much time to spend on here.

I've been dosing 2 scoops or just under 2 scoops most days pre-workout. I forgot to mention earlier, but I find WFV2 mixes very well.

Some interesting updates...

TASTE:

Ok, this is unexpected but I have actually started to enjoy the taste of the fruit punch. I really thought I would keep finding it worse or just ok at best, but I find the taste kind of growing on me. Sometimes products taste worse after some use, but this actually seems to be the opposite for me anyways. When I first tasted it I was shocked how off putting I found it so I am surprised I now feel differently. I guess samples would have been a bad thing for me with this and would have given me a bad impression. Taste is not the greatest or anything, but I honestly don't find it too bad at all after not initially liking it.

EFFECTS:

I think I like the GABA in some weird way. At least it is something different and I think the energy/mood effects are unique to most products so for now I can say I can see where some are coming from when they say they enjoy the feel and energy of white flood. There does seem to be a fairly big dose of GABA used which some may not like if dosing higher like two sccops, but for me giving it a few more tries I think I can appreciate it and enjoy it. I'll keep an eye on this to see if I find it wearing off or whatever.

TRAINING and PERFORMANCE:

I have had some awesome workouts of late with almost no rest days. Saturday I had my 8km running race and although I decided to not peak for it and used it for a training run, I feel my time was very good for me all considering. I improved my time from last year on the same course by over 2mins and it was just my 3rd run outside on the pavement. Later that day despite some soreness and having pushed myself at the race I went to the gym and added another 2+hrs of cardio!! ...
I went hard on the spin bike for 90mins and then went even harder on the treadmill for another 35-40mins. I even put the speed at max and simply hung on for dear life! lol
This was one of my craziest workout days in quite some time... I was drenched beyond belief with sweat too!

So, I've been enjoying WFV2 and I have been getting some good cardio workouts.

what are you eating daily..if you dont mind me asking

hmmm, many things!

Regularly I have lately been using either Vasolate protein mixed with Isoflex of the same flavors or Biotest's Metabolic Drive. I drink at least a few good scoops of protein per day. I eat organic apples almost a couple times/day... organic mixed grain cereal... various fruit, popcorn, healthy granola bars, steak, fish, yogurt, eggs and a little whole grain bread. That's common foods for me that come to mind. I've been eating pretty healthy and I am as lean or more lean now than when I won the Thermolife Transformation contest. Vascularity is through the roof!

I guess I can bring a unique/different perspective on some products like WFV2. Lately I usually rely on pre-workouts that I consider having potential in this capacity of helping my performance and cardio efforts... WFV2 fits this thinking and quite of few endurance athletes like to limit or avoid creatine supplementation althogther even because of the weight gain issue. I don't mind limiting my creatine dosing, but generally I look for ingredients best suited for my current goals. Generally creatine does not present an obvious benefit or advantage for an endurance athlete and the possible weight gain could be a detriment for some.

That is some intense cardio work. I personally can't stand going more than half an hour, but you have some serious dedication. I'm admiring your obvious passion for what you're doing.

I don't know why I enjoy it so much to be honest. I just love to feel the pain and make it hurt and work hard. I was the same with weights. I definitely enjoy morning workouts with my music and everything... there's something very neat about getting up real early and feeling like you're on a mission while everyone else is sleeping life away. Right now even I feel a little excited to hit the sack and get up early... take my pre-workout of the moment White Flood and hit the gym hard before work.

I'm also likely a little addicted to it at this point.

Still putting in some intense morning workouts.

I have decided to add in some carbs pre-workout either in the form of an organic apple or some from an added sports drink... just low amounts really to help with performance goals. Reason being, I have gotten real lean and right now performance is taking an important front role before fat loss/physique effects. I have also noticed some fatigue and reduced recovery rates these past couple days. It is definitely related to excessive training, less sleep and lower carbs/calories. I need to increase the last two just a little and I should come around.

I still am noticing good energy and training once I get going, but I can feel some fatigue in my legs as I am doing hard training every single morning. This is not something I'd recommend, but I am searching my limits because sometimes you just have to... sieze the moment, and try to freeze it and own it... Squeeze it and hold it, 'cos we consider these minutes golden... And maybe they'll admit it when we're gone... Just let our spirits live on

Just watched and love this vid of Tour de France runner up Frank Schleck. I too feel like such a dog and keep coming back for more pain and torture. 6am here I come!

Frank's bro Andy Schleck was runner up in the tour last year not Frank... should be interesting this year as both have extreme talent and youth on their side, plus each other.

Man, so busy these days at work and with some training... I haven't been posting much here at all lately simply because of that. We now have some extra duties at work and I've been called upon to assist with the training and transition of it all.

Regardless, I have been getting in my morning workouts still fueled by WFV2.. I have also been enjoying the new WhiteFlood and in fact have gotten to look forward to drinking the fruit punch. I have noted others have found it a little odd tasting esp. initially, but I think with consistent use most will find it grows on them and is enjoyable.

This is actually a product I am looking at getting again and I really want to try the watermelon now. I think that's a pretty good testament of my thoughts on it... worthy of a purchase after a few weeks of use. I notice a few products using similar active ingredients these days such as SPMax which I am also a fan of. I'm glad I have gotten to enjoy the taste as it makes it easier to use and I tend to look forward to my pre-workout taste moments. The value looks to be there after checking out the prices on bb.com now esp. when you go with the larger tubs. I also like the endurance aspect of it.

I also curious what others think of the other flavors in WFV2 like White Raspberry and Electric Lemonade? I hear watermelon is very good.

Lol, I mentioned here wanting to, but to be honest I haven't done it yet... I will look into that for Monday perhaps. Has anyone mentioned doing this yet? It seems like it would def. work and the only thing would be how would fruit punch and citrus dew go together?

Effects wise, would be interesting for sure!

Ive done it with watermelon. It will probably be hard to combo anything other than lemonade with Ultima, but lets put it this way....not hard to get down (not super enjoyable, but nothing that really bothers me).

Works very well

I ordered a 100 serving and 2 50 servings of the watermelon btw... I hope it gets to me!

You guys were nice enough to send me this one to log and I have enjoyed it... the feedback on watermelon is really good so I figured I'd be a good customer and try it out. Eventually I want to try it mixed with some watermelon SPMax when that is out and perhaps our Strive watermelon if that works out.

in on this... where you at weight wise these days, IIRC you were hoping to be in 180s by now from 210+ earlier this year, with this amount of work guessing you must be there by now

will be trying some WF v2 soon since I am few UPCs away from 30 :p

I'm around 192-194lbs give or take... hard for me to get below 190 really... Diet has been pretty good and I've managed to maintain my leanness quite well. I think as I start ramping up my volume and distance esp. running I can go to high 180's-190lbs. I believe most of my weight stems from the muscle mass that I've somehow managed to maintain despite the lack of weight training.

I have some watermelon on the way to try and I am surprised how much I like the fruit punch since the beginning when I really disliked it... sipping on some right now.

Hey Peter. Hope all is going well with you buddy. I haven't used the White Flood yet so the feedback is good.

Things are not bad. Could always be worse I guess. Been having one of them weeks lately though. Weather is terrible, training has been up and down and just things with work and stuff got me in a foul mood...lol

So far, I do like the new white flood and that is from not being a fan of the original. I think it is a good option for pre-workout energy and other benefits. The price makes it an even more attractive option for many. I'd love to be able to dose it to 2.5-3 scoops to get more of a few ingredients, but I wouldn't want that high of a caffeine dose. Most should notice good energy from 1-2 scoops for sure though. I do like the option of a creatine free pre-workout to use when I want to and I like the endurance aspect for my goals. So far that sums up my thoughts without getting excessively optimistic or critical with things.
