Time to get serious about my diet and training! No more messing around, Gotta make sure I have proper form and make sure im gaining weight!

Weight: 115lbs

Height: 5'5

I'll be following Lyle Mcdonald's Generic Bulking Routine.

Diet is 2600 Calories

No School so I woke up late, had 2 kiwi's and hit the gym...BIG MISTAKE. First time ever doing ATG(Used to always go parallel) and man did they tire me out! Never Underestimating ATG Again! Big Preworkout meals from now on! On the last rep I also went down too fast and uncontrolled, the bar touched the catcher's and I just couldnt push it back up :/

Lowered the weight on most of my lifts to get the form right :/ Also Pissed about bench press, I can't seem to get the grip right, It doesnt feel that comfortable. If I do a normal grip(Hands are few inches away from my ribs) My triceps arent strong enough to push out enough reps and if I go wide I can't bring the bar all the way down to my chest.

First Fluff I've ever made with casein. Not matter what I do, Even when I made it with isoflex after about 5 mins it gets all bubbly flattens am i doing it wrong or am I suppose to eat the whole thing within 3 mins?

Really lovin the DB SLDL! BUT its hard holding onto the dumbells and my calluses is already bad enough as it is :P Besides that, the workout was ok, didn't feel much of a burn today going atg but definetly felt something when I was done my sets.

Workout was going great at the start! Bench was great, rows were ok, then I decided to do DB Shoulder Press and it was horrible! I started out with 30's, Got 6 reps out then my left arm gave out, lowered to 25, same thing finally had to drop down to 20 :/ My right arm could do 25 and 30 fine, but my left arm...

Also been on a cream cheese kick lately :p

I was squatting the way I usually squat, with 25's under my heels, with my feet at a normal stance(around shoulder width) going as deep, when one of the trainers from my gym came up to me, took away the plates from under my heels, put a bench behind me and told me to push my hips as back and touch the box when I went down. He told me I would get way more from doing box squats. What do you guys think? Should I keep using the plates and go deeper, or do box squats? Also, do you guys think I should try and get a video of my squat for a form check?

Pretty pissed about the bench dropping. I think there could have been alot of factors affecting that, My shoulders back and trap were sore as hell from DB SLDL's yesterday, Did the beep test before going to the gym, and did like 7 minutes of rowing as a warm up for the first time :/ Busy day though, after the gym I ate then went out for the rest of the day and played a little bit of basketball then some trolling irl :P Tired as hell that day.

I've also been pretty lazy recently and havent really been getting creative or making things, just taking the quick easy route when cooking but I'll be making some more creative meals soon

Soooo pissed. I got to the gym, ready for lower day. Went to do squats and put on a 45 each side. I couldn't even push out 2 ****ing reps, but I did it fine 2 weeks ago and last week and even went up to 145 last week. Then I lower the weight and something happened to my left hip and I couldn't even squat with my left leg. After that I just went home. Gonna push everything ahead one day and do lower tomorrow, upper wednesday, rest thursday.

I dunno what it is though. Could have been the fact that I hadnt hit my macros this weekend and was under but I doubt that would have much of an effect today? or maybe the lack of sleep last night. It's just really confusing and pissing me off! Any suggestions?

Man, first fridays workout, then this... feels bad man :(

WHY DO MY LIFTS KEEP DECREASING?! Its soo frustrating! I'm gonna make my mom go out and buy an electric scale so I make sure I'm gaining! How often should the weight be increased? I met a guy yesterday who was doing SS and Went from 115 bench to 155, and 155 squat to 210 in 3 weeks. And I barely made ANY Progress so far :/

Workout was great! I think it's the first time i've used 40 dbs and it felt good. I think I could have done 45 for atleast one set, but I decided not to. ALSO When I do Dips, after a couple reps It feels like my clavicle(Collar bone) is going to pop out and it starts to hurt... and help?

Started out with squats, But something in the left side of my ass still really hurted. It's becoming a pain in the ass now (LOL Literally ;p) After further research, I figured out its my Sit bone? It hurts to squat or bendover and it happened while squatting last week I think. I'm gonna try and get it checked out by a doctor but do you guys think I should just stop doing Lower until it heals or just continue but do leg extensions and stuff?

Why aren't my lifts really increasing? Ever since I started doing them with "Proper Form" They seem to barely go up, when I was doing improper form they were still increase. And I dont think it was because I was eating because I wasn't gaining weight back then and I was still increasing, even when I was in a severe deficit I was still able to increase weight. Its really frustrating now :/ Also any suggestions on what to do about legs? See previous post.

Woke up at 8:30 this morning to go to the gym! got little sleep, and didn't eat anyhting before the gym...:/ Had to wake up early because I was going downtown to Parliament Hill with friends at 10:30 ish. It was really fun! I saw lots of good shows, and the Prince and Princess LOL.

After that went to Petrie Island (if anyones aware) Since thats where everyone my age goes(and they are all drunk) and saw some fire works. Overall Fun Day!

So I started at a new gym for the rest of the summer since they were giving free memberships. Anyway, I couldnt find a belt to add weight for dips so I asked one of the personal trainers there. He said they only had a vest and I said I'll try it. So when he got the vest he told me it was 50 lbs LOL. We went to try it and I dont know how but I pushed out like 3 sets with 8-10 reps per set! The guy was pretty impressed and told some people then told me to go see him after my workout cause he wanted to train me. So Thursday I have a session with him since they are aloud to give 3 free sessions.

Diet wise I've been eating pretty well, Had ribs at friends houses, eating cinnabons and what not and not really worrying about it. I ballpark calories on those days and after reading that famous quote from Cumulonimbus's log, I'm not gonna be all OCD about macros and stuff and I'm gonna eat more. I'm done spinning my wheels and I'm not gonna let the ED come back to me!

I'll also be updating this log regularly now!

Update

So the trainer I was supposed to have a session with messed up the schedule and had to change it to tuesday. It was back day though and he gave me a back workout to do. The workout was killer tiring as fuuu. He made me superset everything and go to failure. I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere that training like this isnt ideal? the workout was like this:

1 Min break between all sets.
Bentover barbell row supersetted with DB rows both to failure

T bar row supersetted with Wide grip cable rows both to failure

Lat pulldowns supersetted with lat pushdowns both to failure.

The workout lasted like 35-40 mins.

Today was chest day and it wasnt that great, maybe not even sleep?


Hoping my leg will FINALLY be better by next week so I can start some squats and DL. Also thinking about doing SS.

Nutrition wise I havent really been tracking but getting kind of a ballpark and I've just been going out with friends, eating alot and enjoying life. been having pizza and whatnot for the last 2 nights. come at me bros ;)

LOL I'm soo lazy with this log :p In the gym everything's been mixed up. Im kind of just doing a split right now and need to get back on track, My leg is fine for SLDL now but not 100% for squats or DL's. I've also had another session with the trainer and once again he made me superset everything and go to failure lol. I've still been hittin the gym hard but I'm in need of a workout routine. Im thinking about going back to Lyle's GBR but this leg is still kind of a pain in the ass. I was also tihnking about starting strength but although people have made great strength gains the muscle gains i've seen arent so great. Diet's been pretty much eating whatever and not stressing it. I've been taking almost all the advice given in raiku's log and although it wasnt directed to me, I needed to hear it anyway, here are a few eats...
