I thought it would be interesting to see what kinds of things people collect. I have pillbox hats, hair sticks, a couple antique clocks and motorcycles.

I used to collect coins but that stopped many years ago. Still have an impressive set--how much it's worth, IDK.

Have some of the original Hot Wheels cars (about twelve).

Now, just a lot of DVD's--around 500.

Have some of the original Hot Wheels cars (about twelve).Older Hot Wheels are where the money is at. Plus they're nostalgia items for guys our age who used to play with them as youngsters. I'm one of the few kids who got a Hot Wheels Mountain Mining set. Was a bomb, not many were made. Got recalled because of the easy to swallow plastic "ore" pellets. The little truck from that set was worth 600 dollars 20 years ago.... very rare. I kept it for decades, but lost it years ago in a move somehow. No idea what It's worth today, but some rare Hot Wheels are going for thousands on eBay today.

Interestingly, the stuff kids didn't want back then is the most valuable today. Pink is the most valuable color, because few little boys in the 60's and 70's bought sissy pink cars to play with. So they were left on the shelves and returned, destroyed, or whatever.

I am like everyone else. I collect North Korean things. Pins, buttons, postcards, money, pictures.

I also collect Soviet era posters. I have tons of the stuff hanging up in my house so when people come over they are greeted by pictures of the great leader and stalin.

I also collect prints from bernard buffet, french modern artist.

Evidently I collect tools. Although I don't do it consciously, it's out of necessity. Other than that, I make an effort to throw away as much as possible.

I don't think I've ever bought one, but I get them as gifts from friends and family, and thankfully my father-in-law shares my love for shiny objects, so when he sees a new one, he always buys more than one, one for him, one for me, and one for my elder son.

Ok seriously, I don't really collect anything these days.

I used to collect unique watches, comic books, shot glasses.

Maybe when my kids are older i'll start collecting something with them.

Thats my favorite genre.

Music.

Ron Hextall hockey cards. I have almost a hundred with the exception of a rookie card. My all-time favourite goalie. Loved his style and when I played net in ball hockey I played like him. I still find it amazing how some dumb chit will pick a fight with a guy in full gear! :D (Yes I usually won lol)

Pictures. I take pictures of almost everything. I like to remember moments even if they're minor to someone else they may not be to me.

I used to read and collect comic books many years ago. Still have boxes of them at my parents in plastic comic bags with card board backings. A few of them are likely worth something to someone.

Well-designed hats. Nothing unusual. Just sports teams I like (Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Toronto Maple Leafs, St. Louis Rams, New York Yankees, Toronto FC) and anything else that seems to catch my eye.

Memories.

I've been debating whether I should toss all my old bb magazines lately, but so far I haven't been able too. I also have all my old bmx and skateboard magazines from when I was a teen. Could never throw them away. Too many memories.

I collect old U.S. coins although it's a hobby I haven't paid much attention too in awhile. I know I will get back into it one day though.

sorry but Miata's only count as 1/2 of a car....lolTrue, but they are more fun to drive and get way better mileage than the Corvette. Plus you can drop the top while sitting at a red light, without ever getting out of the seat! (no electric top, either, that's cheating! :D)

The Corvette is inside the garage now, on stands waiting for me to install the new exhaust, which is still in the box. So many projects, so little time!

The accountant in me wants to know what your property tax bill looks like. I'm sick in the head. It's six and a half acres, but it's split into two lots, one of which is in farm deferral. I'm planting trees in the other lot, to get it into forest deferral. It's around 4 grand a year for taxes, combined, Alan.

I should have known that you have space since you have peacocks. I guess I did forget to mention that I also "collect" peacocks. And just today, speaking of projects, I finished another bird enclosure that's more than twice as big as this one.

I already have most of the front off of it, and will buy a k-member kit when funds afford. Monster Miatas are frighteningly quick! They even make LS-6 kits for them! Hoping to hear that v-8 sound from it one day, like this nice conversion:

When my nephew was born, I used it as an excuse to start collecting 1/32 scale slot cars. After 8 years I have built up to 35 cars (+added to nephews collection) and expanded my 22ft starter set to 100ft 4 lane track w/digital lap counter. It's a fun hobby, but as with anything related to racing, it's very expensive.

Here are a few of my cars:

Very cool, there is a bar down near where I use to work in Illinois. They have bra's all over the ceiling. Supposedly if a woman will take her bra off right in the bar and hand it over she gets a free t-shirt. They have given away hundreds and hundreds of t-shirts.
