I truly enjoy going to the gym and working out...whether it be cardio or weightlifting or other types of physical activity. I also don't mind my meal plans (whole grains, lots of veggies, chicken/tuna, etc). However the thing that is stalling my weight loss and my overall progress is the fact that I have cravings for junk food! I ignore them most of the time but about twice a week I give in and tend to binge on them (chips mainly but also sour candies are my fave!).
I'm sure some of you have dealt with this and I was hoping there was some advice out there for beating the cravings!
Thanks :)

try crystal light popsicles or adding it to sugar free jello to make it stronger taste and more sour and try daikon chips with olive oil
pretty good recipe here

and they have like 15 cals per 3 onces. (not including what ever you put on them)

More info please :)
What's a typical binge like for you? Are we talking a couple hundred calories? Way more than that?
And what are you macros on days you follow your plan?

Sugar free candy and gum and diet soda are my best weapons!

Work what you crave into your cals/macros for the day - you can easily fit in a scoop of ice cream, some chocolate, a piece of pizza...whatever...if you tell yourself you can have it and it's not off limits the bingeing might not happen. The all or nothing mentality isn't for everybody.

I have indeed. Her work has helped me immensely. From some of your posts I figured you had too. :)
When I find myself falling back into old patterns and getting frantic/obsessional/self-defeating re: food/body image I give myself a little Geneen refresher course - helps me find my way back to sanity and peace.

Another goodie is Intuitive Eating, Tribole & Resch. Completely changed my relationship with food and body image. I have to walk a fine line with a lot of this stuff so those behaviors you speak of don't rear their ugly heads. Balance!

Yup, have that too and Michelle May's Eat What You Love, Love What You Eat. They are all very much along the same lines as each other and have all helped me.
I'm walking that line with ya!

I would stay away from sf stuff...Really...Gum...really is not a great way out of cravings...I love fresh fruit as an alternative...Really satisfies....Give time it....Your body will thank you for it..

stuff yourself full with fiber filled veggies such as cabbage and broccoli, earlier on in the day so you're less hungry at night. substitute or add wheat bran to your oats in the morning, assuming that's what your breakfast consists of. wheat bran adds so much bulk to your stomach, you can't breathe after you it. and it's virtually calorie free! :) if i'm really craving i'll chug carbonated water, then i'll stuff down carrots, then sugar free jell-o, then i'll chug apple cider vinegar. your stomach will be saying ewww with that combination of food in your stomach that it cuts the craving. also, DO NOT work in the things you are craving, they are what make you fat. even in small amounts. trust me. clean eating all the time is the only way to see results. it's sad, but true. eat to live, don't live to eat. don't feel sorry for yourself, YOU'RE the one choosing to diet and get lean. if you're going to eat that stuff even in little amounts then you might as well not diet.
just think to yourself, all that hard work that you went through in the gym and all the good dieting, is it worth that binge session... no. and trust me when i say this it is the best feeling ever when you wake up the next morning knowing you DIDN'T give into that craving.

I go through this too. If it's chips you like, then split the big bag into smaller, single-serving bags so you don't over do it. I used to go through a big bag every weekend and now a bag lasts me a whole month! Keep the junk food in single serving bags and somewhere out of sight so you can have some when your cravings get really bad. You can easily add a small serving into your daily macros. If it's the crunch of the chips you like, try adding something crunchy to yogurt. Lately, I've been having my protein shake at night and mixing it up a bit. Sometimes I add fruit or a teaspoon of yogurt, but mostly I add Hershey's cocoa; it has only 10 cals and has antioxidant properties. V8 is another quick fix. It's filling and if I skip a meal due to a busy schedule, it helps satisfy my hunger so I'm not reaching for something I shouldn't be. It's very filling. I keep my refrigerator stocked with fruits and berries too.
