All right, well my fricken internet is slow as hell and im bout to go do stuff, will update later when photobucket uploads my pics, if i decide to use those


Stats:

Height- 5'9.25"
Weight- 208.5


Goal is to get shredded so my nutritional information has credence that empirical research obviously doesnt provide :P
Also, to get a 300/300 on my PFT for the marines by next summer :D

this log will be kept up, mostly cuz if all else fails i sit on bb.com when I'm at work


I'm going to be practicing IF and IIFYM, and I will also NOT be following any set daily schedule, cuz I can't, some days i wont sleep, some days i will, who knows :D

Considering I'm in the middle of a weight loss competition through my work (and the weigh in is tomorrow), I'll take pics and update weight tomorrow

gonna start takin pics of my meals, and being anal about keeping up with this to keep myself on track, considering disregarding new dates as they would prob lead to eating out which leads to unknown macros, but who knows.



This morning insonia decided to rear its ugly head couldnt fall asleep till after midnight, and woke up intermittently, finally stayed awake after about 0430. Headed to the gym bout 730 and spent a good 2 hours there. PR in dead lift, fricken awesome. Gonna post up pics of tonights meal when i get home and cook it... which wont be til about 530 ish

WOULD LOVE if someone could guesstimate my BF%

Approx lean mass last time I was measure was about 170lb
Macro Goals for the Cut
2500 Cals
Protein-250g
Fat- 100g
Carbs- 150g

If anyone has any comments on this or advice i would LOVE to hear it.

I Lift about 5 days a week
Run at least a mile pretty much every day (slowly working on getting my 3 mile time down under 23 minutes)
I train in Taekwondo, and when I have time (once the semester is over) I will be doing that probably 2-3 times a week
I will be adding swimming into the exercise regimen soon, probably 30minute to an hour when I do it, or a minimum of 2000 yards (IDK yet)
Some days I do LISS on a stationary bike for 30 minutes
My schedule is all over the place, which is why my workouts are
I've found my maintenance doing JUST lifting 5 days a week to be approximately 3000 cals give or take

Cals and Macros SO FAR TODAY (will edit when im no longer full) I don't think I have ever been so full off of 1600 cals, also Mtn Dew Supernova is BOMB

I ate coming off of a 28 hour fast consuming my first meal approximately 8 hours after my workout. Thats within the window of anabolismness Right?!?!?!?

Well now, only 2172 cals today, I CAN'T eat any more i'm fricken stuffed, my goal cals it 2500 a day, and that puts me at nearly a 1k deficit on workout days... so im a bit low today, what evs, idc as long as im satiated

FYI
If those are the high fiber extreme wellness wraps, the nutrition info is wrong
They are 90cals now (old labels are misprinted as 71). I even contacted the company after finding the same product with a new label recently.

Great, 19 calories. You probably came close to burning those through NEAT by walking to your telephone, picking it up, dialing companies number, and speaking with a representative.

Not sure how you can actually get that steak to turn out on the foreman... middle of your steak looks good though =)

I tried cooking a big steak on the foreman, ended up throwing the steak away, and almost threw away the foreman too...

Hey guys, last night I came down with some sort of stomach bug, therefore today, I'm eating relatively light, I'm not even hungry even though I havent even hit 1800 cals yet

Did make it to the gym today, did triceps and hammies, did not even consider running. Reluctantly played dodgeball with some fellow marine officer candidates at our meeting today. Did not sleep well, even though I got almost 7 hours of sleep (rounding up) I work tonight therefore I will be up til 2-3pm tomorrow YAY, prob gonna work out inbtwn work and my exam to prevent falling asleep. Prob won't eat much, if anything tomorrow, cuz ill be sleeping from the second I get home to the time I have to go back to work at 10pm


181g white rice, 2 eggs, a little bit of butter. Chicken on the side ( i ate the rest of the chicken earlier)

After getting off work on thursday at 7am and having class from 8am to 1500 not getting home til 1700 slept maybe like 2-3 hours?

only ate 1500 calories, will be working til 6-7am today then probably PT

LOL ya it does suck, my supervisor has declared me the night guy, cuz no one else will take the shifts... therefore thats ALL i get




well today I actually hit my calories for the day (the stomach virus from tuesday night killed my appetite) will be posting food pics from the past couple days or w/e on sunday when i have time. So I bought the fitbit (calorie tracker thats cheaper than the bodybugg, and i like it so far, it's pretty accurate so far as i can tell. It said I burned 4k cals yesterday o.O i ate under 1600.

I work until 630 am and have to be back at work at 1700 tomorrow. Actually made it to the gym today and had a decent workout. Will hopefully have enough energy to go to the gym tomorrow too.

well said stomach virus from wednesday is back, i MIGHT post food pron over the next couple days but I doubt i can make bland foods look good, especially since I'm kinda at the point where i just don't give a phuck. Gym closed today, not that working out would have been a good idea. Forced down a good 1500 cals before the stomach virus reared its ugly face again, got to work, ate a banana, not hungry, sitting at under 1600 cals :(


Anyone reading this wanna give some advice what to do diet wise, cuz I need it bland, but don't wanna sacrifice muscle mass. Should I just eat what I can til it's over, eat high carb, try to get protein, etc. etc.???

thank u sir.. its not debilitating, just irritating...

Also an update... just cuz my schedule is SOOOOO jacked up at least until summer starts, I'm gonna be playing around a lot with y macros in the coming weeks to test out exactly what helps me feel good

once this stomach bug is done, gonna attempt adding in some more CHO while sacrificing fats, and see how it affects energy levels running AND swimming daily (which I will hopefully start soon, depending on school and stuff)

New macros I'm considering:

Pro: 250
CHO: 200ish
Fat: 50 Minimum

mostly cuz I've been noticing that I hit my protein no problem, but have trouble hitting my fat, while CHO is easiest to manipulate, gonna try it out, plus im excited to have more CHO to play with :) eventually gonna up it to closer to 250, and as soon as the weight loss competition for work is done with I am going to be upping cals so im not so far over a 500 cal fricken deficit (which blows btw)
So whenever I get over this stomach thing I'm gonna switch to the above macros
any comments, questions, suggestions, bitches, moans, complaints???

IMO bees knees isnt that good, mixing honey with peanutbutter is the same thing (and cheaper). Mighty maple I have yet to try but really want to WCW is my absolute fave, then DCD. Havent tried the rest. BUT I'm going to NY in two weeks, so maybe I'll stop by there and see whats up.

I'm not too sure how I feel about "the heat is on." Spicy peanut butter doesn't sound like it does anything for me.

I'm a real big fan of crunchy peanut butter, so I'm hoping crunch time is awesome.

If I get a jar of the spicy one, I am going to try one bite plain, and then use it to make peanut based sauces for like chicken and stuff.

well now it has, and if you don't like it plain, u have an idea of how to cook it.



On a side note related to my Macro change, I'm finding it easier/ more enjoyable to fit foods into my macros with more CHO, but I've realized the downside, is I have lots of normal cheese that needs to be finished, but that means either taking FOREVER to finish it, or a couple high fat days... I'm thinking chicken quesadillas personally ;)

And a question for anyone who may know, on a cut is there any type of lifting schedule thats most beneficial, or is it like most things, just personal preference?

The oreo powder surely has a ton of cals in it (120, wha???) but I saw the weight on it was much higher for the serving. Was thinking I could get away with less powder and still get enough flavor. I usually use half a serving for 115g GY. Will let you know when I try it out and see if I can get the cals down on it without diluting the flavor too much.

Was totally gonna lift to day, but woke up feeling like I had gotten hit by a truck 2.5 hours straight wearing 35 extra lbs KILLED my traps. So maybe if I feel better later I'll go... Also might swim today, prob gonna give walking a break today, and if I do walk it will be unweighted, mostly cuz my knee needs some rest, cuz it turns out it can take up to 12 weeks to ****ing heal.... which I'm calling BS on and give my self 2.

But considering its only 1pm and I'm already starving, I'm thinking a publix run today to get some shirataki noodles is a MUST, along with the sirloin i took out yesterday to thaw, some veggies, and some sort of sauce.... Hmmm the possibilities...

almost didnt post today, cuz for everything else in my life i've pretty much fallen off the face of the earth, not really texting, no fb, etc etc

saturday night i had been doin great macro wise... until i went to hang out with one of my really close friends that I almost NEVER see, like it was the first time i've hung out with him in months. We went to this place like a dave and busters (arcade like area) then got Mcdonalds cuz we were hungry (totally didnt fit my macros) then went and played monopoly, after i left his place was tired and wanted one of those giant reeses eggs, well walmart didnt have them, and seeing how it was 4 in the morning, and I didnt wanna leave empty handed I grabbed some other foods but no pics were taken of it.

Sunday was Easter with my fam... i disregarded macros, its whatever, pics were taken, but mostly of my little cousins <3

btw a note, the reason for no food pron from yesterday... i didn't eat, i worked til 630am, took a 2 hour nap, went to my exam, the gym to run (note a 10:45 1.5 mile 1 week after hyperextending my knee isnt too bad ;), and then went home and studied, then passed out from 3pm- 7am (with intermittent laying in bed doing nothing time))

Limited my running today, instead of a treadmill i jogged TO the gym (1.5 miles) only made it about a mile though, cuz A) my knee was feeling a little off, and B) i've had a sore throat since last night, sick durin finals it seems. Lifted decently today, did chest and biceps, shoulders were acting up though. And right now my left hand pinky and ring finger are goin slightly numb... idk why, it happens sometimes though. Um weigh in for the work related weight loss competition is tomorrow, regardless gonna keep macros the sameish :( cuz I'm goin to new york city on sunday-wednesday to visit my best friend, and IDK if i'm gonna fit perfectly into my macros those days

um ya last night ended up sucking, macros idk, today macros were a bit better, but im home and there is almost no protein sources... wtf... and i wasnt gonna spend money to cook my own **** while i'm home, around 2500 cals though, with like 180 protein, not the 250 i usually get but w/e

ya finals plus being sick, then being home with limited food choices means that I didn't care for like 2 days. Start class up again next monday, one class, work, exercise, that will be all, diet will be deterined when i get back to tallahassee on friday and i determine how much damage was done from the not caring/ new york.

my normal fitbit range is high 2000s-low 4000s with an average around 3300-3500

and def will try to find some food p0rn, and thank you for your concern, def helps bring the motivation about.. if fitbit was right, i had about a 2k defecit yesterday.... and i'm in new york... wtf!!

I might actually stay at Syracuse. The Maxwell School houses the Institute for National Security and Counter-Terrorism and it comes highly regarded, but it is also a real pain to get into from what I've heard.

I'm also looking at Georgetown or Texas Tech, both of which have a national security certificate.

So basically.... wednesday night i had some wine... that led to a totally consumption of over 5k cals, looked fine the next morning, cept slightly bloated.. did my weigh in for my work weight loss comp

207.3 lbs

.1 lb difference from 2 weeks ago... that 2 weeks includes my new york trip and the 5k over 6g carb binge the night before for .1 lbs less, um **** yes please :)

but because I plan on winning this weight loss comps i've drastically dropped cals and am essentially doing a PSMF (yesterday and today so far) gonna weigh myself on sunday and see where I am at carb depleted and decide the course of action from there, goal is to hit a WEIGHT of 196 or lower by the 24th of may. I plan on doing super low cal hi protein until i hit close to the needed weight, then increase fats to a normal deficit to insure I hit the needed weight (10% loss of starting BW is an extra prize) and I need to be under 197.

The remnants of my cold are helping with hunger...

Holy crap barely sleeping for two days + night shift is starting to suck, only had like 1300 cals today cuz i barely had time btwn class and work cravings are SOOOOO bad right now

so yesterday and most of this morning I felt great actually, i was surprised. I'm not sure if it's cuz I've been awake for 21 hours or the diet or what, but I def feel like crap, which makes motivation to eat 1500 cals of almost all protein very tough...

especially since it's not producing the results I wanted, unless the increase in sodium is has made me retain a ****ton of water if i keep having ridiculous lows like this i may up fats a bit and stay low carb, I keep telling myself its only til tuesday, but still sux, gonna weigh tomorrow and if i havent dropped like i want I'll prob up fats a bit for extra cals and to not feel like ****, cuzmost days ive had under 20g of fat since i started this.and never more than 1800 cals with fitbit still reading over 3000 cals (and it doesnt take into account twitching and fidgeting, which i def do a bit) so we shall see tomorrow i guess... that is if my will power lasts til then

A side note, I ordered a bodybugg, hopefully get it next couple days, gonna compare it to the fit bit and give side by side expenditure comparisons :) over like a 2 week period AND watch weight change. I will be adjusting calories appropriately.

tomorrow I am trying to plan an epic feast to carb load, since i've been kinda deprived the past few days :(((

so this is from past couple of weeks

i was at a ridiculous calorie deficit for the weight loss contest for work... it sucked
tuesday and yesterday ate a ****ton but was either under calories or slightly over
stress got to me today, and i needed a who gives a **** day, coupled with i have **** thats gonna go bad if it doesnt get eaten, so i havent counted today, but i know its a lot and i dont really care

back to a consistent calorie deficit tomorrow :D

So i weighed in today....

195.6 B!TCHES!!!!!!! 24 lb total weight lost in 8 weeks (so a decent amount of fat along with a ****ton of water and hopefully not too much muscle

Want to try the PB wrap....... I saw one in MEN that had pb and cocoa powder mixed and then wrapped and heated. Mouth watering!

skinny cow has candy, i found it in the candy aisle in publix, dark and milk chocolate, also they have a candy similar to nutty bars which is bomb as hell

that PB wrap, i believe, was PB2 mixed with a little water and a little WF Syrup o.O makes it sweeter and something else idr thoguh

food porn is gonna be relatively non existant for a bit, i've had some personal issues and having lots of "good stuff" in my apartment would lead to depressed binge eating, so i'm just not gonna have the stuff around at all so binging doesnt occur

tomorrow ill post some epic pics of my steak last night, it trumps EVERY steak pic ive posted so far.

worked a 12 hour shift today 10am-10pm
didnt eat b4 cuz i slept til work, and didnt eat anything but a few grapes at work, so im running on nothing today, and im going out straight from work o.O so i guess no food today

all right

well i know i havent been posting much lately but I've been busy with school finishing up my last class

my macros today were a little low, i pretty much got protein, but i was about 370 cals under what I had planned. guess I have an extra 370 cals tomorrow :P

as soon as my class is over on the 17th i plan on kicking things into overdrive. my expenditure (measured through the bodybugg) will prob be >4000 everyday, instead of the lazy 3.5k per day it is now. Also will be updating more frequently

been busy wit school and work and being sick the past week so havent been posting much, but I should be posting up macros and stuff more soon, (i have been stayin in a cal deficit though no worries :D)

I am officially done with my undergraduate career today, so next week when I'm home in jax some celebrating will occur :DD!!!

lol i have no idea on the calves, my body decided to say **** your abs everywhere else gets to lean out first, thanks for the congrats... so good to be done

and i'm not an AMAZING chef, but now that schools done i have free time to experiment :) which means I'll be making cooler foods, so yes I will gladly share recipes and give what little guidance i can. check pms

I got a new girlfriend, and spend A LOT of time with her, therefore not much time to update, hell i've barely been eating cuz i've been sooooo damn busy, we shall see what happens

bored at work so I'm gonna update this

since i'm visiting my family in jax for a bit taking a break after graduating. I'm not counting calories too strictly. I also spend 9+ hours a day with my gf and have been sooo busy not too hungry. Also havent been able to go to the gym in a while, developed some pain in a no-no area, and awaiting ultrasound results, will HOPEFULLY get those tomorrow. But its an irritating pain/discomfort that i fear working out will exacerbate, so I've had limited exercise lately. I'll be back in tallahassee on the 7th and will be getting back into a good routine with counting again. And will hopefully be good to workout within a week or so.
