So here are some starting pictures. Keep in mind that I have no clue how to pose, but I tried my damnedest :) I did each pose 6-8 times and picked what I felt was the best of them all.

My actual log (where I will log my workouts and whatnot) is in the Teen section (link in signature). I'll try to update this one on occasion with some really good or really bad days, but for the most part every workout will be there. If you care about numbers- check it out.

Starting lifts are:

240x1 pause bench

I injured my hip recently so I can't tell you my true maxes for squat/pull right now, but pre-injury according to calculators:

~335 squat
~420 pull (note this was sumo and I'm probably switching to conventional).


Weight/height:

Low-mid 180's

5'6"-5'7"


As far as lifting goes I'm doing Smolov Jr. for my bench starting Monday, then rehabbing with a modified version of Rippetoes. I hope to be back at full health (lifting wise) in 3 months or so.... No clue what I'm going to do after that.



Some random goals I'm throwing out without any thought at the end of these 16 weeks would be like....

275x1 pause bench
350x1 squat
425+x1 deadlift

Weigh ~ 200lbs.

And of course- look way bigger

Dude who give a phuck what others say, just do it for yourself and no one is going to rip at you most people in the cutting phase are not even close to 10% and pictures are still going to go up.

Lel, everyone says my voice is deep. As for the mineral absorption- I don't really care. I need the calories/protein from the milk, and I've never shown any signs of IDA (and it's never been mentioned in any of the blood tests I've taken), so it's not something I really concern myself with. Thanks for the advice though, always welcome.

Lol@swole. Not even close cuzz. How are people from the teen section finding this log?

Injured my hip by taking 2 weeks off deadlifting, 5 weeks off of lifting completely then coming back and pulling heavy sumo and squatting heavy wide. Something just got ****ed up. I'm doing active recovery so I hope to be starting squatting/pulling with the bar/135lbs respectively before Smolov ends... So in two weeks or so I hope to be starting again, and in 2 months or so I hope to be back at full strength.

Winning would be cool- recognition and free supps are always nice, and I'm going to bust my ass off and try to win, but I don't really care. If I go into this contest at 182 with a 240 pound total and come out at 195+ (hopefully 200+) with a 1050 pound total, I'm going to be damn happy.

I haven't been taking training seriously (as shown by me taking 6 weeks off for no reason), haven't been taking my diet seriously (I rarely get 150g of protein), and I take my supplements half assed.

This contest was, like I said, the kick in the ass I need to get serious. I'm now logging my diet/supplementation/lifting/stretching routines, I'm not ****ing around in the gym.... **** just got real.

No pain, felt really good actually to squat again. Light and easy.

Still REALLY easy. No more than 1:30 rests between sets, pausing pretty much every rep, ladidadi. Still getting easier than it was on the first two days. I even unracked them all by myself! kekekeke.

yup took me about a year and a half to get there. I went from about a 95lb max to that in that time. Honestly I would Bench Way too much I would probably bench 3 times a week my whole first year of lifting. I was still growing which is probably why I was able to recover If I tried that now I would feel like ****. But I couldn't even squat my own weight until just a few months ago when I first started squatting in my life. lol

you srs. Not even the the linemen in your football team? and yea I was a strong little phucker I have no idea how I did it but I know I did. I would bench more than anyone in my school (school population about 450) small town. lol I wish I could lift that much now in terms of lb for lb ratios. lol

Idk maybe, but I've never heard of anyone actually legitimately benching 275.... And I go to a 4A high school, state-champs in football... Mirin? We hardly have any 45 plates in our "weight room". Seriously, if I had to deadlift pre-injury, there would not be enough 45 plates for anyone else to do anything... lol.

Our football team isn't even allowed to deadlift....

Felt good. I had no spot so I had to unrack every set alone. No gear at all still. All paused still. <2 minutes of rest between sets still. Still getting easier. Felt awesome.

Pull (conventional):

Stawn- I need you (or any other lifter who knows how to pull conventional good that checks this log, although I think Stawn is the only one) to help me with my form. I know I need to round my back more, but I feel as if that will come when the weight gets heavier. What else do I need to do? Thinking back without watching the video, I may be hyperextending my neck (it's always been a problem for me), but what else? Pick it apart as best you can, my *****!

So...

On one hand, I'm ****ing ecstatic that I set a new PR after 4-5 months not deadlifting at all and first time deadlifting conventional (beltless, I might add) and at the end of Smolov and after squatting and blahblahblah. Shocked the **** out of myself.

On the other hand, I'm pissed that I didn't wait until Smolov was over. My low back might be sore now, idk how this is going to affect my last two hard ass bench days....

Do I regret it? Kind of....
Am I proud/happy I did it? You bet your sweet ass!

I'm happy with the 25 pound gain, especially when you consider all the different factors (in the first lift I was completely fresh CNS wise, I was stimmed the **** out, I didn't have the stresses of driver's ed and **** weighing on me, etc, etc). I'm very happy with it.

If bodybuilding you need to slow down and control the negative.

Deadlift: Hard to tell from the video but are you guiding the bar around your knees? Keep the bar as close to your body as you can to maximize efficiency when lifting. Lift the bar straight up off the ground almost as if its in the smith machine.

Super strong lifts for your age. GJDM.

Deadlift: Hard to tell from the video but are you guiding the bar around your knees? Keep the bar as close to your body as you can to maximize efficiency when lifting. Lift the bar straight up off the ground almost as if its in the smith machine.

My lifts are currently @ ~ 350/270/400. TnG bench, conventional pull.

Height is still ~ 5'6", weight is up about 8 pounds, to low 190's.

I'm pretty disappointed. I look the same/worse. I don't know guize. :(

Lol I don't care if people post pics in their underwear, that's what bodybuilding is. Although I do look like ****, which I'd probably rip on myself for (and I am in my head).

I would agree that it looks like very little fat was gained, but it also looks like very little muscle was gained...


I honestly have no ****ing clue where those 8 pounds went, I look almost exactly the same in the pictures. Delts + arms + hams got bigger, quads + lats + chest got smaller.

Although part of the problem I'm sure is my inconsistency in posing.

I thought your chest and quads were bigger. I think you are being to hard on yourself. :)

Probably. The only thing I'm really impressed with growth wise was my delts (probably because I just started training them, lol...)

I see myself so much differently than others see me, dat dere dysmorphia...

Ya it sucks when we see ourselves everyday and don't notice much. Others see big changes in us. I understand though, you are looking in the mirror and just don't see what others see.
