You seriously cannot expect a reasonable answer online can you? There is no way to answer why.

I would suggest that you see a doctor if it bothers you. In my mind anything Crackin is bad.

That means you are using those muscle during the exercise and they are cold... Grip the bar without your thumb and it will force your back to work and not your arms ...

Try using an elliptical instead of a treadmill to warm up. It works the upper body. Five minutes should be plenty to get started so long as you also lead with a couple of light sets.

enlighten me why lead with small weiights before actually doing your heavey weights. If you warm up & stretch should be fine, just 15 mins run, or 5 mins elliptical

Walking on a treadmil will not warm up your arm muscle that would be like saying I'm going to do curls to warm my quads up. The point is your not suppose to feel it in those muscle's your working back not arms and if your arm is doing most of the work that means your form is off and your not hitting your back

LMAO good one... I would work on the form or do some light cable pushdown and cable curls highreps.. I'm speaking from experience I injured by bicep tendon doing almost the same movement but mine was due to to much wt ... I would lower the wt and work on feeling it in the lat that's a good thickening exercise if you master it

You need too at least see a chiropractor for an informed answer. You should restate your question to say “In your unprofessional opinion why is this?”

Now that is some seriously good advice...... think he'll listen to" use less weight and let your body get into condition "? Seems like all the kids on here don't want to listen to people who have already made the same mistakes and want to spare them..... everybody wants to be an overnight sensation with no work and conditioning before they get started....

Something else to point out. Stretching beforehand is good for aerobic activities or running, but can be not so good for weighlifting.

Not only have they proven that a stretched muscle is weaker, but it also increases the possibility of joint injuries. But not all stretching is bad. For example, if you want to stretch, use dynamic stretching, not static stretching.

Definitions of both can be found via Google.

I seriously did not know this. After reading this post I did some research and found several articles on why certain types of stretching can be bad for cold muscles. Very good information! I have learned something yet again.

Thanks.

OP, you should listen to people from Atlanta. They know what's up.

Regarding light weights, my progress shot up once I started doing pyramid sets (under Bill Starr) versus when I was doing straight sets. With the Starr program you start out as low as 55% of 5RM max for reps and work your way up. GL.
