Hello fellow BB's,
This is my first post, and I need some advice and pointers in the right direction from you experienced Body Builders.
Ok I am 5,11 - approx. 85-90Kgs - I am 32 Years young and I have been working out in the gym for many years. I have never really noticed any significant gains in anything that I have done and I spoke to a friend recently who told me the reasons behind this is purely done to my diet. You see, I always thought that protein is the building blocks for big gains, and because of this I tried to stick to proteins as much as possible, a typical example of my diet at that point was Tuna Wraps, pretty much every 3 hours or so, but then at the weekends I would blow out and eat all sorts of rubbish such as Mcdonalds, Curries, large amounts of beer etc.. so naturally, I never really got any bigger, my fat seemed to increase and it was always hard to burn off.
I am digressing - since my talk with my friend he told me that I should be taking in a good amount of clean carbs, such as Brown rice, Brown Pasta, potatoes etc.. and a good amount of proteins such as tuna,Chicken,Beef, Liver etc..
He said with a good balanced diet and good training programme I will notice the difference.
I started my new plan on Monday 7th March this week and it is as follows - as per fitday.com - a typical day is as follows:
Cals:2,925
Fat:134.6
Carbs:222.6
Protein:205
My typical day - bear in mind I am trying to bulk up is as follows:
07:00 - 44.8g Oats Raw - Blended with 9 Raw Egg Whites - with 2x500mg Acai Berry (Tablets) - 3x MX-LS7 - Thermogenic Fat Burner - 1 Tablespoon of Flaxseed Oil.
10:00am - 101g Boiled Chicken (providing 30g protein) with 145g Brown Pasta (providing 30g Carbs) - 1 TableSpoon Flaxseed - 2X 500mg Acai Berry
13:00 - 3X MX - LS7 - Something similar with regards nutrient content as my 10:00am meal and this repeats with my 16:00 meal, only at 16:00 I do not take the MX-LS7 but I take 2x500mg Acai with every meal.
I am in the gym for 18:30 and will leave around 19:45 Whey protein shake - Then straight home for meal such as meal at 10:00am but with no MX-LS7 only Acai.
Before bed I eat 300g Fat Free Cottage Cheese.
I started this on Monday, I took a photo on sunday evening of myself, I am also logging every meal I eat via fitday and am keeping a journal to track my progress with regards workouts - weights etc..
I forgot to mention, I do take 2xKre-Alkalyn Pre Workout and 2X Post Work out.
As far as my diet is going am I on the right track to getting bigger? I have 3 workout plans, which are:
WK1 - Back / Legs
WK2 - Chest / Biceps
WK3 - Shoulders/Triceps
Do you think my workouts are in the right order, do you think I need to tweak anything? I plan on changing the workouts every 2-3 weeks.
Your advice on how I can get big is very much appreciated. Naturally I will cut at some point (Once I am bigger of course) and will need to re evaluate my diet to allow for this so any advice on this would be great too!
Forgot to mention I take a tablespoon of Flaxseed oil before EVERY meal.
Thanks for your help guys, look forward to hearing from you!
