Ok, so Ive been thinking this over for a while. I'm trying to figure out if i should continue with eating at a deficit to cut or if i should start eating more to bulk. I already lift heavy 3 days a week, but would need to cut back on cardio I'm assuming since I do 6 days a week for 45mins-1hour :/. Currently based on my measurements my estimated bf is 18 percent, but my overall goal is to get to 15 percent just to reach my personal best and also for my upcoming wedding :) Everything I know is telling me i need to bulk now and then cut again to get to that point, but I guess I just need some reassurance that I'm making the right choice because I'm a little freaked out by the thought of possibly gaining body fat during a bulk when my goal is to lose it. I used to have an eating disorder and I'm still working myself out of the mindset of it, so the idea of this is kind of scary to me to do personally. Is there a way to bulk without gaining fat and just maintaining the fat that I have until I cut again? And if i do decide to bulk is it ok if i continue doing like 3-4 days of cardio for a hour a day because it keeps me sane and I like to maintain my endurance because I do half marathons. I dont want it to hinder me from achieving my overall goals though. Thanks for all your help in advance!

hi there. you may want to check out the CKD? basically you cycle your carb e.g. 2 days high, 2 days medium and 3 days low carbs. you will want high carbs on the day you life heavy, low carbs on light days like cardio. It's a good way to break plateau, also gain muscle and burn fat in a given time frame.

just to reassure you, you will nearly definitely gain some fat if you bulk but with carb cycling, you will lose fat, and gain a little bit more muscle, I guess less than the traditional bulking diet but since your goal is fat loss, I think it would suit you perfectly

keep in touch
