Well it seems people are quite creative with keto, however I guess I'm not that kind of person -.- ... Wondering if any of you has alredy come up with an idea of a keto friendly sauce? I'm looking for something to pour over my damn meat&veg :D . and please don't say pour over oil . That just doesn't do it. :D What would I use to thicken the stuff up a bit? Before I used sauteed onions but that wouldn't be too smart since the stuff has quite some carbs. Any ideas besides that, or cream?

thanks!

I use hot sauce, Red Hot is so good, no carbs or sugar. I also mix olive oil with lemon and add some spice for salad and veggies.

Now be careful there GURL. Some studies shows that hot sauces may increase your appetite and make you eat more or sometimes end up hungry after your meal. I am not saying that you have to stop useing hot sauces but try to control the usage of it.

I reduce down some heavy cream and mix it with some sort of cheese... i.e., the other day I made a steak and topped it with reduced heavy cream flavored with Asiago and sauteed mushrooms.

Edit: sorry I missed the part where you implied you wanted something other than cream :)

In that case, I like Cholula chili lime sauce

Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce. It has a couple of carbs per serving, but as long as you don't go crazy with it it won't hurt you. I like to make about 1-2 tbsp of mayo and put about 2 tsp of sriracha in there and mix it with my beef. Also, sriracha is good on eggs. Just be careful though, A lot of people who i've had try it says it's really hot so go light with it at first. It has a lot more flavor than hot sauce I think.

But I think I'm starting to get an ulcer from all the hot sauce/sriracha I've been eating over the years...lol.

Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce.

That stuff has pretty much replaced ketchup for me over the past year or so...even more so now since it is pretty light on the carbs but really heavy on the flavor. I think the heat is pretty tame but I enjoy hot and spicy stuff so YMMV.

I always melt some kraft singles on top. One slice has 4.5g fat/1g carb/3g protein so you can see how it works well.
