I know for building muscle it's good to take in more and for losing cutting back some, but I been trying something different for about a month now.
As a athlete I always hear i need to eat so much being 5, 6 and sometimes 7 meals.... Well everyone is different and I think I found out how my body works a little with food.
I am 5"11 210lbs. And a professional football player in europe. Now as a athlete like I said before it's always meals meals and more meals... Starting a month ago I figured I'd do a little experiment consisting of a old fashion 3 meals a day not including a postworkout shake or a snack or two.
Now why I did this was because I just could not handle eating all the time and some times wasted food, so I started this 3 meals consisting of a rather huge breakfast high carbs for some energy till meal number 2. Meal two very high protein very low carbs along with greens, and 3rd meal being high proteins and greens low carbs or none at all.
Once again I hear you can not maintain being 21O lbs and eating so little .... Well it's been a month I have not lost at all really maybe a pound and what I have came to see is more muscle def I have no hungry through out the day I feel so much more energized on 3 meals rather then 5-6 and like I said I'm leaning out which took me by surprise big time! While still keeping my muscle I'm not saying anyone needs to do this all I am saying I believe I found how my body works with food and I don't have to eat 4,000 cal a day ( for right now) who's knows maybe in another month I might drop ten pounds and being eating my words but this works for me
