So this might seem a dumb question but here goes...
I have seen on numerous nutrition sites that 7 whole walnuts, or 14 walnut halves = one ounce = 190 calories. This doesn't ever seem to match the weight listed when I buy nuts in bulk. I.E. I'll buy what bulk weight says is 1/2 lb of walnuts and I do NOT get 8 one ounce servings (or 112 walnut halves)--I get much less when I count them out.
Again, I know this might seem stupid but I'm trying to keep at maintenance calories and eat lots of healthy fats, so I eat a lot of these things. Now I'm worried that I've been doubling my portion size...Any thoughts? Thanks :)
