Perhaps yesterday I should have looked at the past month of changes (1-16 to 2-19) and I would not have felt so discouraged.
I'm super excited as I've lost:
-1.5 inches in the Neck
-1.5 inches in the Bicep
-1.8 inches in the Forearm
-5.0 inches in the Chest
-2.3 inches in the Waist
-4.0 inches in the Hips
-4.3 inches in the Thighs
-1.5 inches in the Calves
-4.0 pounds
-2.3% body fat
I truly didn't think I had done much of anything but obviously the tape measure is telling another story, just doubles my energy and desire to keep working out :)

Thank you :) I am still trying to figure out the whole calories intake business. I take in somewhere between 1500-1800 a day. everything I read says that is too low for someone trying to lose fat and gain muscle, but my day to day maintenance is suppose to be like 2100 or so, which makes me think that perhaps the 1800 or so is correct? At any rate I struggle to put more calories into my meals thus I've added 4 oz of whole milk at breakfast and lunch to get an additional 300 or so calories. I just fret that I will be undoing the good that I have done over the past month.
I lift 4x a week and was running 3x but am cutting that down to 2x a week as I've found that I run better only doing it 2x a week.
thanks,
danielle

I really need to work on the calories intake too. And water intake. I am starting back up into an exercise regime today. I am going to start the couch to 5k program (I hate running with a passion lol) and I am going to start weight training once I steal my boyfriends weights back from my parents. It should to interesting to learn the different exercises for me to do with free weights.
Your program seems well established and that you are modifying it perfectly for you.
I want muscle, but I think I have too much fat for the muscle to really show through, hence the need for cardio. I will probably end up lifting 3x a week and cardio for 30 mins 3x a week.

Nice. i am doing the C25K program as well for running, mainly my goal is to do 1.5 miles in 15 minutes comfortably then I will just maintain around there.
Good luck! :) You can do it.
