View Full Version : Could it be water retention?

I work out pretty much every day, combining cardio and weight lifting because I love doing both. I eat healthy and clean most of the time. I can feel my abs and how hard they are on my stomach, but they just dont seem to pop. I think I may be having issues retaining too much water, (My fingers get puffy and I awlays feel dehydrated even though I drink plenty of water). I was thinking about getting some supplements to help, but just not sure. Any reccomendations? I feel like my abs are just under there waiting to come out. I know I also need to lose some body fat, but perhaps the water may be a contributing factor to feelike like i look like a dough girl...(sorry for the rambling)
Any ideas or thoughts? help

It could be water retention. Do you eat alot of salty foods? From looking at your pictures, I dont see any water retention, we bloat over the smallest stuff, salt, too much water, time of month, just eatin food can cause bloating, fake sugars (i, e splenda, diet coke, etc) Maybe you could be allergic to something you ate? I'd say.. just keep drinking water and maybe give your system a good flush. That would be the only thing I can think of.

Agreed- I bloat from just about everything.. And judging from your photos- you don't look bloated at all! Sometimes people have allergies to oats or grains, one of my friends just found out she's allergic to rice and oatmeal and apples. Bummer for her! :p but before you jump to any supplements I'd look at my diet- especially sweeteners, they are the worst! They make my ankles swell. :(
