So, there's an offer for 150 lbs of weider cast iron weights, curl bar, 2 dumbell bars for only $30.

The weights would fit the bars that come with it. However, my concern is that I'm still looking for a barbell and don't know if these weights would fit the bar because they have 1" holes. I still think it's a great deal but just looking for any advice on what barbell I should be looking for if I get this.

The holes are most likely 28mm which fits standard 1 inch bars (25.4mm)

Was this on craigslist in DC? Some of the weights were Olympic.

Seattle area, so we're talking about a different deal. I'm not going to be lifting too heavily, so with this deal would a standard bar be alright for my purposes?

here is a barbell I found:
seattle.craigslist.org/see/spo/2199175320. html

does this look like a quality standard barbell? can't post links yet so i put a space before the html. It says that it's made of quality chrome-molybdenum steel.

Bar #1 is good for what you wanna do, Bar #2 has weird knurling positions and some strange collar right in the middle of it which would make many exercises uncomfortable.
