"Verizon announced the change in a note on its Website (PDF link). Once you've crossed the 5 percent threshold, Verizon will reduce your data speeds "periodically ... at locations and times of peak demand" through the next billing cycle."

I wish they would give us a cutoff for this. Like if you stay under x GB/month, you won't be affected. At least that way we can keep track and avoid getting throttled

I thought the iphone does do that. I know you can track you data usage by checking within the settings.

You can track it on your iPhone all you want but if you don't know what the threshold actually is that's pretty useless.

Read somewhere on Gizmodo its 2Gb month, just like AT&T.

brb used 12GB over 2 mo from my phone alone and didn't get throttled.
