Been lifting for 10 yrs or so and recently have gotten back into it. Started lifting with a buddy who is a lot more fit then me which has caused me to push myself in the gym.

Back in oct when i was lifting by myself i was only benching 145 and not moving a lot of weight. Since i have been lift in with him i am bench in 225 for 3 reps shrugging 315 dead lifting 315 etc. But with this added push and motivation has come some small injuries that are pissing me off.

Right rear and side delt are sore, and what feels like the development of tennis elbow. Decided to take this week off and just do card and rest but i really don't want to take anymore time off with all the progress i have been making.

I think i am just being over worked bc i am not used to lifting like this. Before I would never do drop sets or super sets, or push myself to go up in weight. I can handle the weight and not sacrificing form but just think im not used to it...

Suggestions?

i have bicep tendinitis, i started in my shoulder and moved down to my forearm and bicep because i kept pushing thru it.. im taking a few more days off because i have been RICE'ing it and it seems to have helped a lot. Also go see a sports therapist because i went to a doctor and he said to take 6 weeks off and gave me a bunch of perscriptions for shyt i havnt even taken, it was a complete waste of time. A sports therapist will be much more effective for solving your problem. Also take some NSAIDS, everyone says not too but in reality its not gonna effect your gains much and you'll be back into heavy lifting soon.

dont push it until it feels right. Shoulders are complex. They need to remain mobile and not swollen to heal right. Fish fats help too.
